Extended Summary

Ziggy is sat at home making paper aeroplanes. She is relieved when Mackenzie turns up, sitting back down and saying she’s been there all day, except when going to the bathroom or making a cup of tea. She asks if Mackenzie brought food home. Mackenzie offers to make her something but decides to go in the shower first, despite Ziggy wanting company.

At the Parata house, Cash and Eden offer Felicity some takeaway. Felicity wonders what she walked in on and they say it was just bride tribe stuff. Eden says she’ll go home to sort out Felicity’s dress before it’s sold to someone else. Cash reminds her to be patient. Felicity is still oblivious as Cash assures her it was just wedding stuff they were doing.

Rose stops by Nikau and Tane at Salt, saying she got the wedding invite and will be there, checking Gary‘s coming. Nikau invites her to join them but she says she has to practice her golf swing and reveals she volunteered for John’s team. Nikau tells Tane he had a drink with Felicity earlier and is glad Tane chose to marry her.

Downstairs, Dean is on the phone to Ziggy, reminding her she’s on bed rest and saying he’ll be home soon. Ziggy promptly walks into the surf club behind him, saying she “borrowed” Mackenzie’s car while she was in the shower. Dean isn’t happy, thinking she should be resting, but Ziggy says she was left alone with no food and asks to eat.

Felicity turns up at Eden’s with pizza. Eden suspects she’s there to interrogate her. Felicity says it was good to see her and Cash hanging out and that she wouldn’t object to them doing more than that. Eden admits she does want to be with him but it’s not up to her. Meanwhile, Dean and Ziggy are eating on the balcony at Salt. Dean reminds her he’s brought her a takeaway every night and they have a view and fresh air at home. Ziggy tries to get him to let her come to work with him tomorrow but Dean, worried about something happening, refuses and says she has another two days’ bed rest.

Eden is constantly refreshing the webpage for replies and ends up composing another message. Before she can send it, Cash phones her, having guessed what she’s doing, and says there’s not going to be a sale tonight. Eden says she thought night was when shady stuff happens. Cash tells her not to do anything without him.

Tane and Felicity look through the wedding invite replies and note most people have said yes. Tane wonders about the bucks night but Nikau says it’s sorted. Cash comes back in and Felicity tells him that Eden wants him back but it’s up to him to make the first move. Cash just says good night.

Next morning, Cash meets Eden outside the surf club. He mentions what Felicity said but Eden says she knows where they stand and is more worried that they haven’t heard from the seller. Cash agrees it’s not ideal but says he’ll think of something. Rose pulls up in the police car and Cash joins her, saying Eden’s mood is a long story.

At the surf club, Marilyn asks Dean about the age range of his clients before asking him to sponsor the golf tournament. Tane, just arrived, says the gym’s done it. Marilyn says there are three levels of sponsorship, suggesting silver (Dean says bronze) and he’ll have his logo plastered over the golf course. Dean doesn’t think many people surf and play golf but Marilyn leaves the paperwork anyway. Tane stops Nikau and tries to ask about Felicity’s surprise. Nikau is tight-lipped, despite Tane protesting that he needs to know to do something for her in return.

Eden is practising guitar when Felicity turns up. Eden chides her for reporting what she said back to Cash. Felicity agrees to drop it before asking about the wedding dress. Eden says she needs to tell her something but then gets a message and rushes out. At the police station, Cash has filled in Rose. Eden comes rushing in and says she’s got a message. Cash says they need a bride-to-be. Rose realises they’re looking at her.

Shortly after, Cash, Rose and Eden are all at the Diner flat. Eden asks if they can arrest the thief as soon as they turn up but Cash says they need to have proof of trying to sell the dresses. Rose will ask to try them on, then send photos to Eden to confirm what they are. Eden hides as the seller, Stan. turns up. He assumes Cash is the groom (which Cash goes along with), noting grooms don’t often stay for the fitting.

Later, Rose is photographing the dresses as Cash chats to Stan, who claims the dresses are designer and factory seconds and his sister owns a dress shop. Rose gets a reply text. Stan tries to take the dresses and leave but Cash produces his police badge. Eden rushes out and tells Stan he’s under arrest. Cash checks Eden wants to make it official before arresting Stan for larceny and attempting to profit from stolen goods.

Ziggy surprises Dean outside the surf club, saying she got the bus. Dean isn’t keen on her ignoring the rules again. Ziggy says she’ll be at the juice bar and comments on them needing a second car. Nikau turns up, moments before Tane accosts him again. Nikau refuses to spoil the surprise but does say it’s about thinking about where the other person comes from.

Near the beach, Eden enthusiastically thanks Cash. Felicity watches from a distance as the pair hug. They seem to share a moment before Cash says he needs to go back to the station and do the paperwork. Eden leaves. Felicity tells Cash he’s got a girl who really likes him and who she knows he has feelings for.

Ziggy looks over the sponsorship paperwork. Dean notes Marilyn isn’t going to take no for an answer and says he’ll give Ziggy a lift home after his next class. Ziggy again comments on not having a second car: She hasn’t found one for sale but worries about being stuck at home with a baby and no car. Dean takes the paperwork to Marilyn at the Diner, but says he’s not going to set foot on the golf course. However, his interest is piqued when Marilyn mentions Roo getting a car as a prize for the best individual golfer.

Felicity arrives home with the dress, telling Tane that Eden’s dropped it off (although she refuses to let him see inside the bag). She notes she didn’t expect to get married on a beach in a fancy dress and she was a country girl. Thoughtfully, Tane asks if she’s tied to a beach wedding. Felicity says she doesn’t care where she gets married so long as it’s to him. Tane says he has a better idea.
