Extended Summary

Remi and Bree walk near the beach. Bree is worried about what’s happened with Jacob, having not had any updates from the police, and wonders how he’s taking being questioned. Remi says that’s not her responsibility anymore but suggests they go and see Cash. At the Parata house, Nikau and Felicity look over her wedding vows. Cash comes in, on the phone to Justin discussing parts, and deflects Felicity’s questioning by saying Justin’s servicing his car. As Nikau leaves, Felicity initially tries to claim she was giving him tips on the bucks’ night before telling Cash about the translation and mentioning Eden helped her write her vows. Cash refuses to discuss her.

Eden approaches Nikau outside the surf club and accuses him of taking the dresses as a joke. Nikau says he didn’t and Eden says she’s dead. She isn’t calmed when Nikau reminds her they’re worth $12,000. Inside, Eden admits she left the van unlocked. Nikau wants her to tell the shop and she admits that, although she did pay a deposit, she lied about being a celebrity stylist. Felicity and Mackenzie turn up and Felicity says she liked one of the dresses. Eden shoos the pair away and Nikau suggests the shop might have insurance.

Cash arrives for work and finds Bree and Remi there. Bree explains she hasn’t had any updates and Cash says he’ll get one for her, asking her to wait in the interview room. Bree asks for Remi to wait with her. Remi stops to talk to Cash first, saying he thought Bree would be all right after reporting Jacob. Cash says it’s only been a day and a half.

In the interview room, Bree frets while Remi tries to reassure her. Cash comes in and says Jacob has been arrested and charged, despite denying everything. He was granted bail but served with an AVO stopping him from contacting Bree. Remi suggests that’s why Bree hasn’t heard from him but Bree thinks it’s unlike him to be quiet. Cash says to call 000 if he turns up or calls her.

Remi and Bree head home. Remi still thinks this is good news but Bree is worried what will happen in court given the lack of evidence. Remi promises to look after her. Moments later, Jacob calls. Despite Remi telling her not to, Bree answers the call and tells Jacob she didn’t know the police would come to his work, that Remi’s just a friend, that Jacob needs help and that she’s sorry. Remi retreats into his room frustrated, but eventually comes out and takes the phone from Bree, telling Jacob there’s an AVO out against him and to stay away from Bree. Bree is horrified and walks out.

Meanwhile, Eden tells Nikau that the shop think she stole the dresses and sold them, and either way, if she doesn’t get the dresses back, she’ll have to pay the $12,000, and as she can’t, she’ll be facing legal action. Up in Salt, Felicity checks off her wedding list and tells Mackenzie she needs to take time off to go to New Zealand for the honeymoon, which Mackenzie happily agrees to. Eden comes in and says she has something to tell Felicity. Felicity announces she’s chosen dress number three, showing Mackenzie a photo of it.

Eden goes to the police station and asks Cash if, hypothetically, you borrowed something, and then something happened to it, would you be financially liable. Cash says if you borrow a toaster and it’s stolen while you have it, you have to replace it. Felicity asks what if the toaster is worth $12,000. Cash concludes they’re not talking about a toaster.

Remi chases after Bree, who is frantic about what he’s done. Remi says she was making excuses for Jacob again. Bree says Jacob’s her husband and Remi reminds her there’s an AVO out against him and she should have called the police. Bree says she’s been in love with Jacob since she was a teenager and can’t turn those feelings off, arguing Remi won’t understand. Remi says he does because he’s in love with her. Bree goes back to the house and packs her things. Remi thinks she’s not safe and needs to stay there but Bree says she needs space. Remi closes the door to stop her leaving and Bree looks scared. Remi is horrified and stands aside, letting her leave.

Eden has explained the situation to Cash. He says he can take a statement but Eden says she doesn’t want to make it official and involve Felicity or the shop woman. She asks him for unofficial help. Cash says normally the thieves would try to sell the dresses online. Eden begs him to help her without Felicity finding out.

Eden heads home and finds Remi strumming his guitar. She tells him he won’t believe what she’s been doing and is surprised when he doesn’t push it. Remi says he scared Bree so he’s giving her the space she asked for. Eden gets a text from Cash saying “I’ll help. My place tonight?” She indicates to Remi that he’s helping her with something.

Nikau turns up at Salt and asks Felicity if she’s ready for their “thing”. Mackenzie tries to quiz them but accepts his explanation that it’s a surprise. Felicity looks over the translation and Nikau reads the first line, which he initially claims means “Nik’s cooler than his uncle” before explaining it’s “My love for you is endless”. He offers to go through it sentence by sentence…or word by word. Later, Felicity paces back and forth on the balcony, trying to say the translation. Nikau tells her not to stress. Felicity is worried about murdering the language and offending his family but Nikau says Tane will be touched.

Cash and Eden look over dresses for sale on the laptop. Eden notices a posting by an apparently jilted bride, referring to the worst day of her life and the dress still having the tags. Cash comments on her being sentimental and thanks her for helping Felicity, who he suspects isn’t easy to be bridesmaid for. They suddenly spot an advertisement for five dresses.

Eden sends a message to the seller asking to meet. She wonders why Cash is a cop if it’s this boring. Cash says he likes helping people and assures her he doesn’t think she’s an idiot. They nearly kiss and are interrupted by Felicity, who clearly realises what she’s walked in on and grins.
