Extended Summary

Tane follows Felicity as she walks away from the park, saying the kiss took him by surprise. Felicity said it did her too. Tane says they shouldn’t complicate things and Felicity suggests forgetting the last ten minutes. She is annoyed to realise Cash spoke to him. Meanwhile, Cash meets up with Jasmine on the balcony at Salt. He’s glad she’s still talking to him but still can’t tell her about why he went missing, since it would mean breaking someone’s trust. Jasmine guesses it’s about Felicity, although Cash won’t confirm it.

Mia and Chloe have just arrived back at the Parata house to a reunion with Ari, chatting about their spa break. Both of them have paperwork to do and Mia tries to get Chloe to text Theo back. Ari shoots her a pointed look and she agrees they need to catch up. At the Diner, Irene serves a distracted Theo. Ryder arrives and tells Irene that Marilyn stays up all night watching the shopping channel. Theo tells Ryder he’s sent him another $500. Ryder wonders why he didn’t just text him instead of summoning him there. Theo asks if he’s spoken to Chloe but Ryder didn’t even know she’d left town. Theo abruptly leaves when Ryder tries to talk to him about the challenges.

Ari and Mia are walking on the beach. Ari wondered if Mia would tell Chloe about her father but Mia says he stopped calling. Theo turns up and they tell him Chloe’s busy. He walks on with Ari noting part of him feels sorry for the youngster. Mia notes not much gets past Chloe and Ari pointedly agrees, although he also says he’ll snap Matthew in two if he turns up. Meanwhile, Theo turns up to see Chloe. He says she didn’t respond to his texts and she says he didn’t get the hint, although she lets him in. Theo offers to help.

Cash and Jasmine come down from Salt just as Tane and Felicity arrive at the surf club. Felicity challenges Cash over talking to Tane and accuses him of telling Jasmine as well. Cash says he’s not going to stand by and see it happen again. Felicity walks out and Jasmine follows her. Jasmine promises she’s no idea what Felicity’s talking about. Felicity lets slip that she had a breakdown before realising Jasmine really doesn’t know. Jasmine says she knows what it’s like to lose yourself.

Cash approaches Tane at the gym, asking why he went back to Felicity. Tane says he thought she needed a friend. Cash says he isn’t what she needs. Tane thinks Cash is handling it wrong but Cash tells him to let it go. Meanwhile, Theo is answering e-mails for Chloe and notes they’ve got one complaining the cheese sauce is too cheesy. He pretends he’s replying telling them to stick it. Chloe rushes to stop him, then sees he’s written gibberish. Ryder turns up wanting to talk about the budget and isn’t keen to see Theo helping. Chloe sends Theo to pick up groceries but isn’t happy about Ryder sending him away.

A smart-casually dressed man enters the gym. He tells Tane he heard about the chemical attack and asks about Mia. Tane says she isn’t working and the man leaves. Ari and Mia are coming down the steps from Salt, preparing to meet up with Tane for dinner. Mia sees the man reading the notice board and claims she left her phone in Salt. Ari says he saw her pick it up. Mia waits until the man has gone outside then “finds” her phone. She tells Ari she’s just going to talk to John about arranging free gym memberships for surf club members.

Mia follows the man outside and calls out to him: It’s Matthew. She reminds him she said no contact and tells him to go. Matthew says she took off without a word and left him wondering if she went through with the pregnancy or not. Now he knows and wants to meet his child. In the gym, Ari is defending Cash’s attitude to Tane, saying he was freaked out about Felicity being missing. He thinks Cash knows her better. Mia arrives and Tane mentions the guy looking for her. Mia says he was probably just a sales rep. Tane agrees to keep his distance from Felicity.

Felicity walks with Jasmine near the caravan park, saying every time she thought she’d hit rock bottom she sank lower. Cash gave up his first posting to look after her, making sure she got up in the morning and ate. Jasmine reminds her he cares about her. Felicity agrees but is fed up of him expecting her to fall apart. They see Cash outside his van. Jasmine suggests they could keep walking but Felicity goes over to him and suggests they meet up later. Jasmine and Cash clear the air. At the Parata house, Tane emerges from his room to join Ari and Mia. Ari is feeling bad about not doing more for the gym. Mia gets a text from Matthew saying he’s not going away. Mia suggests both Ari and Tane go to a fitness trade show in the city tomorrow. She says she needs to follow up on a client at the gym and will grab pizza for dinner.

At the Diner, Ryder tells Chloe they’ve just got another order for twenty vegan banquet meals. Chloe asks Irene if Ryder can make a start on the preparation while she finishes her shift. Irene says that wasn’t the deal but agrees. Theo turns up with the groceries. Ryder refuses his offer of help again. Later, Ryder is doing the chopping and Chloe corrects the sauce. Ryder suspects she’s upset with him for refusing Theo’s offer. Irene tells them she’s going to go and check on Marilyn.

Mia arrives at Salt and finds Matthew: She arranged to meet him there. When he offers her a drink, she tells him it’s not a date but she’s prepared to talk.
