Extended Summary

Cash sees Jasmine and Felicity arrive back at the caravan park. He tells Felicity she should have let him know she was being discharged but Felicity still isn’t keen to talk to him. She goes into her van and Jasmine tells him Felicity wouldn’t let her call him. Cash notes he and Jasmine haven’t seen each other much lately. At the Parata house, Ari tells Tane he can take more time off work if he wants. Tane explains about panicking when he went there before and he needs to face up to it and do his assignment. Ari insists on going with him.

John follows Nikau outside the surf club. Nikau says John didn’t tell him there was a quiz and accuses him of trying to show him up. Ari and Tane turn up and are pleased that Nikau was considering being a lifesaver but Nikau says he changed his mind. After he walks away, John notes that Nikau really had something. Tane encourages Ari to talk to him but Ari insists on helping Tane first. They head into the gym. Tane is tentative but insists he’s fine. Ari leaves him to it. Tane goes into the office, where he is hit by memories of that night.

Leah and Justin ask Theo what he’s up to. Theo admits that he’s been texting Chloe but she’s in the city with Mia. Justin suggests he hang out with Ryder and Leah suggests he expands his circle of friends. Theo insists he has friends but just doesn’t want to hang out with them at the moment. At the caravan park, Jasmine fails to convince Felicity to stick around. Cash invites Jasmine to spend time with him but she says she has to get ready for a night shift.

Felicity arrives at the surf club and runs into Tane. He says he considered visiting her but wasn’t sure. Felicity quips that at least he didn’t send roses. He suggests they go for a walk. Some time later, they are heading towards the caravan park. Felicity comments on them suddenly being comfortable in each other’s company. Tane jokingly reminds her of the AVO and she says she asked them to withdraw it. She notes she thought she could trust Anne. As they reach the van, Tane starts to leave but Felicity asks him to stay: Not to sleep with her, just so she’s not alone.

Back at the Parata house, Ari asks Nikau about the lifesaving. Nikau says John had a go at him in front of everyone, then admits he can’t keep up, reminding Ari that school wasn’t his thing. Ari says it wasn’t his thing either but suggests Nikau might be interested in lifesaving and not to give up. At the Morgan house, Justin quietly comments to Leah on Theo not helping out, then tries to get Theo to join him walking Buddy. Theo says it doesn’t take two. Leah leaves them to it as Justin advises Theo not to keep on staring at his phone. Theo says he doesn’t want Chloe to think he’s playing games. Justin reminds him that his challenges are based around just that, before sending him to walk Buddy, saying it doesn’t need two people.

Next morning, Tane and Felicity wake up in her bed fully clothed and greet each other before disentangling. Down on the beach, Nikau sees John taking a class. John tells him he missed out but Nikau walks off. Nearby, Cash sees Jasmine going for a run. He realises she’d still be at work if she’d been on night shift. Jasmine claims she was just tired. Cash convinces her to come to his for breakfast when she’s finished.

Cash heads back to the caravan park and is less than happy to see Tane and Felicity coming out of her van. Felicity tells him he didn’t look out for her before, whereas Tane believed her. The two of them go to the surf club where Felicity thanks him for last night and Tane says he needed it as well. They see Nikau coming downstairs. He hesitantly comes over and apologises to Felicity for what he said on social media. Felicity says he played judge and jury and isn’t impressed by him deleting his accounts. She walks away. John comes in and, with a bit of encouragement from Tane, Nikau goes over to him and says he panicked and was unprepared. John says to talk to him if he gets stuck again.

Cash and Jasmine meet up at the caravan park. Cash wonders if Felicity told her something. Jasmine tells him what Darren said about him and Felicity going missing and is worried she can’t trust him. At the Diner, Justin checks that Theo knows he’s just sweeping floors. Nearby, Ari gets a text saying that Chloe and Mia are on the way back. Theo asks Justin for the day off so he can go and see Chloe. Justin wearily agrees.

Jasmine asks Cash what happened. Cash says he can’t tell her because it’s not his story to tell. He hopes she can live with that, giving her time to think. He goes to the gym and confronts Tane, saying he thinks it’s best that he backs off from Felicity. Tane goes to Felicity’s van and says he’s there for her in whatever way she needs. Felicity responds by kissing him. Tane pulls back and says that’s not what he meant and Felicity walks away.
