Extended Summary

Jasmine and Felicity are walking along the beach. Jasmine isn’t sure how to proceed so Felicity tells her the first (and only) rule is to not overthink it. Jasmine admits that her last relationship was complicated and Felicity assures her that she’s got lucky with Cash. She offers to give him a nudge. At the farm house, Dean admits to Ziggy that he’s missed her but says he wanted to do better before she got back. Ziggy thinks they should make it work. She checks his rehab programnme and learns he’s meant to be at gym orientation. Dean says he’s already done that but Ziggy says she interrupted and he needs to go.

Martha is sat in front of her easel outside the house. Roo approaches her and, although she has some ideas, Martha admits she’s not quite sure what to do. Roo examines a sketch of someone with multiple faces. Alf comes over and tells Martha about John selling out his table. Alf wants to go to the surf club to check out insurance and Roo jokes there might be a bidding war. Meanwhile, Mackenzie and Logan arrive at her flat. Mackenzie is on the phone to Ziggy discussing Dean. She asks Logan about his family. He kisses her instead of answering and she notes they have time for…a cup of tea and a chat. Logan looks less than enthusiastic so Mackenzie offers coffee instead.

At the Diner, a flustered Marilyn is telling Irene that it’s all so sudden. Jasmine comes in and Marilyn says she’s just heard the news about Grace from Tori. Jasmine is instantly worried and recalls she got a message from Tori asking her to call. Irene reassures her but advises her to ring. Down on the beach, Felicity has summoned Cash and tells him he’s moving too slow: Jasmine has given him the green light and he should do with it what he wants.

Jasmine is up to speed and notes she didn’t expect Tori and Christian to move halfway round the world. She notes that, with the gym sale, she’s lost two ties to Robbo in a day. Marilyn suggests it’s a fresh start. Cash calls Jasmine to a table and suggests they go to the city some time, for dinner at a restaurant and a weekend at a hotel. Jasmine suggests they go tonight. Cash is thrown but says he’ll sort it with work. Jasmine tells Irene and Marilyn. At the flat, Mackenzie is asking Logan about the countries he’s been to. Logan wonders if she wants to know his childhood pet and favourite football team. Mackenzie indicates he’s not boring her, then gives up and starts kissing him.

At the surf club, Ziggy fills Alf in on Dean sending her away. She says he’s even more hard work than usual, wondering if it’s pride or trying to protect her: She has an idea for his rehab but notes it’s hard to stand up to someone who can’t stand. Alf advises against letting him play the sympathy card. Dean is leaving a message for Mackenzie, begging her to come back, when Ziggy returns. She says she’s got the gym equipment that he needs and urges him to sort out his rehab.

Roo approaches Martha again to collect her teacup. Martha reflects that art comes in its own time while Roo comments on deadlines. Alf appears and tells Roo that Martha needs space so she’s coming to help him clean the shower block. At the farm house, Dean is moving his leg with the aid of a band but is quick to stop. Ziggy refuses to back down however and insists he carry on.

Jasmine arrives at Salt wearing a fancy dress which impresses Felicity. Jasmine tells her about her stepdaughter’s mum moving to London before ordering shots. Later, Jasmine checks her phone, seeing Cash is still busy at work. Felicity admits she suggested the date to him. Jasmine gets a link from him to the hotel. Logan and Mackenzie turn up and Jasmine explains what’s going on. Mackenzie claims she and Logan have been talking. They retreat to the bar where Logan checks Mackenzie is fine with how things are.

Dean has had a shower and tells Ziggy he’s heading to bed. Ziggy asks why he can be vulnerable with everyone but her. Dean says he’s still broken but Ziggy says they can fix it together. They kiss. At the Diner, Irene asks Marilyn if Raffy’s going to make it back from overseas for the wedding. Marilyn says she’s going to meet Tori and Christian in London but Brody and Simone are coming down. Roo comes in for a takeaway and notes Alf sent her away to stop her making Martha nervous. Outside the house, Martha worries she’s bitten off more than she can chew. Alf says he and Roo want her to be happy and convinces her to dance with him. Roo walks past and smiles.

Jasmine and Felicity continue to knock back shots while Mackenzie and Logan look on with concern. Mackenzie convinces Jasmine to have water as she gets a text from Irene and reflects that everything’s changing. Felicity explains about Grace moving. Cash turns up and apologises for being late. Jasmine says they should go straightaway. Outside, Jasmine staggers, then suggests they’ll have the beach to themselves, kissing Cash passionately. Pulling away, Cash says he’s going to take her home and then cancel their reservation: He wants to be with her but not like this.
