Extended Summary

Mackenzie approaches Logan on the beach and kisses him. He asks if everythig is okay and she admits she’s done something and is not sure if it’s the right thing, before asking him to kiss her again. Cash and Jasmine wander past and see them. Cash wonders if they should say hello but Jasmine isn’t certain they’d notice. Mackenzie gets a call from Dean but ignores it. Cash and Jasmine head to the gym where Jasmine collects the last of her things from the office. She gets the text alert that the cheque has cleared and says they should celebrate. She checks Cash is okay with how things are going between them and he says he’s fine with however fast or slow she wants to take things. Jasmine takes a moment to look around.

Felicity is messing about with the pool table and, on seeing the pair, says she needs someone to thrash. Cash indicates he thrashes her and she says that was when she was twelve. She adds Tane hasn’t accused her of anything recently. Jasmine notes that they were about to go and celebrate. Felicity says she should have led with that and drags her upstairs. Cash protests it was a couples thing. At the Diner, Irene is telling Alf and Martha she’s glad to be back. Roo joins them and notes she thinks John’s avoiding her when she asks how many people on his table. She comments that if they knew they were having the dinner, they could have had the auction there (Marilyn chimes in with agreement). Martha suggests she do something special for the evening and Roo agrees they could auction it off. Alf isn’t sure she’ll have time but Martha is keen.

John exits the surf club, apparently listening to a message on his phone. Seeing Dean sitting down, he gives a spiel about looking after the board shop for him and offers Dean a place on his table. Dean says he can’t get upstairs at the moment. Mackenzie and Logan also appear and John gives a similar offer to them but Mackenzie says she’s working there and Logan isn’t sure what he’s doing. Dean is there to look at the gym, which his physio has recommended. John gets a text from Irene saying to come to the Diner. At the gym, Logan tries to give Dean advice on what he should use. Ziggy appears and Dean is confused that she’s back. Ziggy is equally confused, since she thought he knew she was coming. They both look accusingly at Mack.

Felicity closely peruses the menu at Salt then tells Cash to get pancakes and french toast and a jug of mimosas. She teases Jasmine about liking Cash. Jasmine says they’re taking things slow and Felicity realises what they haven’t done. She says it might be the right idea, given what happened between her and Tane, but it’s not her style. Downstairs, Ziggy is annoyed with Mackenzie for bringing her back there. Mackenzie thinks Dean is ready to have her back and Ziggy says that’s his decision. Dean agrees as he and Logan join them. Mackenzie thinks they’ll thank her. Dean and Ziggy exchange pleasantries but Dean says he’s not ready to have her back there, despite her pointing out she’s there now.

Martha takes her leave of Alf, Roo and Marilyn to start on the painting. Alf has work to do in the bait shop but arranges to meet her later. Irene is on the phone to Leah convincing her and Justin to come to the fundraiser. Roo invites Irene to join their table. Irene says she’s already on a table. Meanwhile, Dean and Mackenzie arrive back at the farm house. Mackenzie says she’s enjoyed looking after Dean but they have their own lives to lead and thinks he should go back to living with Ziggy now he’s stronger. Dean says that if she’s had enough of looking after him then she should get out.

Felicity complains that the mimosas don’t have enough champagne in and Cash says he told them to go heavy on the orange juice. Mackenzie and Logan come in. Jasmine invites them to join them and Logan is introduced to everyone. The girls retreat to the bar. Felicity thought Mackenzie was with Tane. Mackenzie says she and Logan are getting to know each other. Felicity says they’ve definitely slept together and thinks deep and meaningfuls are overrated. Later, Felicity is amused that Cash faked an injury to get Jasmine’s attention while Logan saved Mackenzie’s brother’s life. Jasmine says Cash is a gentleman and Felicity asks how long it’s been. Cash drags her out. Jasmine goes to the bar as Mackenzie talks to Logan about Dean. She thinks she should call him but Logan thinks he can manage on his own. They start kissing; Jasmine looks at them uncomfortably from the bar. She gets a call from Tori but goes back to the table instead of taking it.

John joins Irene at the Diner and starts rabbiting about the event. Alf and Roo come in and Alf challenges John to admit he can’t fill his table. John says he just wanted to raise money for a good cause and starts to confess but Irene hands him a notebook and says it’s his list. He hands it over to Alf and Roo, who are surprised he’s filled it. John quietly tells Irene he can’t thank her enough. At the farm house, Dean has made himself a sandwich but is having difficulty getting to the table with it. He tries to shuffle across on one crutch but drops the sandwich and smashes the plate to the floor in anger. He finds it too painful to bend down and ends up retreating back to the bench.

Cash and Felicity are walking near the beach. Felicity is apologetic but Cash thinks she went too far and shouldn’t have spoken like that in front of Jasmine’s friends. He admits he doesn’t want to mess things up. Felicity tries to get him to go back there but Cash doesn’t want to answer questions about her. At Salt, Mackenzie checks Jasmine is happy with Cash. Jasmine asks about Logan. Mackenzie admits she doesn’t know how many siblings he has or where he grew up, while Jasmine admits after Lewis she wants to be sure. Ziggy appears and Mackenzie says Dean kicked her out. Ziggy is worried that he’s home alone and Mackenzie indicates it’s up to Ziggy to look after him.

Felicity is lying on the beach. Jasmine lies down next to her. Felicity apologises, then realises Jasmine isn’t mad. Jasmine says she doesn’t want to mess things up with Cash and Felicity notes he said the same thing, suggesting Jasmine has to make the first move. She reluctantly offers advice on seducing him. Meanwhile, Dean takess a painkiller and contemplates calling Mackenzie. Ziggy arrives and takes in the mess. Dean wants her to go but she insists they talk.
