Episode 7189

Extended Summary

Jasmine is running along a deserted road. Seeing an SUV approaching from behind, she gets frightened and ducks into the bushes but it drives past. At the motel room, Robbo is fretting as Scott arrives. Robbo says he waited like Scott asked but they need to get going, brushing aside Scott’s questions about how Jasmine got past the guards. Scott tells him to put his gun away.

Robbo and Scott arrive outside the Diner. Scott will check the flat while Robbo checks inside, then they’ll check with Jasmine’s friends. Robbo looks around the beach, looking helpless. Inside, Justin approaches Raffy, noting she has the same expression Tori and Mason had when waiting for exams results. Raffy points out that they passed. Leah asks Justin if he’s free for dinner, suggesting they have it at his since things are still tense between Alf and Ryder. Raffy is put out that Ryder had a party and didn’t invite her. Robbo comes in and asks Leah and Marilyn if they’ve seen Jasmine. Justin’s ears prick up but Robbo assures him Tori’s at the safe house. He hasn’t got hold of Irene; Marilyn says she’s on her way to a meeting and offers to call her. Scott comes in and says no-one’s upstairs; they consider phoning Lance.

Mason and Willow are getting things together for a class at the gym. Willow mentions Robbo’s visit earlier and that she’s worried about Jasmine. As they leave, Willow takes her phone but doesn’t respond to the missed call and message. At the farm house, Maggie has just finished her marking while Ben has left the board to cure, saying he did the shaping ages ago then left it. Maggie reminds him she’s having dinner with Roo and says he’s welcome to join them. Ben says he will, but looks nervous after Maggie has gone to get ready.

Leah and Justin arrive back at the caravan park house, talking about Robbo and Tori. Roo comes in and tells them about Ben and Maggie coming over, saying they’re welcome to stay. Since Alf and Ryder are both staying away to avoid each other, they agree. Later, Justin comes back in to find Leah stretching to get a bowl from the top shelf; he enjoys the view for a bit before helping her. Roo shooed him away from the barbecue and Leah notes only Alf’s allowed to use it normally. Justin points out that Roo wasn’t expecting them to help so they could sneak away for an hour or so… Leah says later.

Willow and Mason are setting up near the beach. Willow checks her message and is shocked to hear it’s from Robbo asking about Jasmine. At that moment, Jasmine comes running up from the beach, looking exhausted. Willow hugs her and tells Mason to call Robbo while she takes her inside. In the gym, Mason and Willow chat to Jasmine but don’t get to say much before Robbo and Scott turn up. Robbo and Jasmine exchange apologies. Some customers come in and Scott says the place needs to be secure. Although frustrated, Mason tells the clients there’s an aircon problem and they have to close for a bit.

Raffy and Marilyn walk along the wharf. Raffy complains about the party, insisting she’d have gone if she’d known about it. Marilyn reminds her that she declared hers and Ryder’s friendship over. Raffy admits she’s worried about the exam results. She accepts Marilyn’s offer of dinner and a movie. Back at the caravan park house, Roo chides Leah and Justin for getting cosy and, when Ben and Maggie arrive, comments on them making out like teenagers. Justin says Ben and Maggie are notorious for PDAs. Ben says not lately, then quickly adds that Maggie’s been busy with the HSC trials. Justin fishes for information on Raffy’s results. As they sit, Ben seems quiet and detached, holding Maggie’s hand.

Robbo and Jasmine are alone at the gym. Both accept they were wrong before. Jasmine doesn’t want to go back to the motel, saying being cooped up in there is tearing them apart. They do head back to their room, which seems to have lost some of its investigation vibe. Jasmine says she needs to get out and see people and it isn’t doing Robbo any good to be focused on the investigation 24/7. Robbo promises to fix it.

Leah tells the rest of the dinner party about getting the support group behind Irene. Justin asks Ben about the pier sale. Ben says there’s nothing to report. Roo says he only needs one interested buyer but Ben says they don’t even have that and he can’t afford a defence lawyer without the money. Justin points out he doesn’t have a court date but Ben says he’s in limbo and sarcastically notes that at least Irene’s all right. Maggie hastily says they have to get going. Leah and Justin head back to the Morgan house pondering Ben’s behaviour. Leah notes they’ve been so focused on Irene they’ve forgotten him. Justin reminds her she made a promise and they start kissing but Mason comes home. (Justin jokes that if they ignore him maybe he won’t see them.) Mason starts to tell them about Robbo and Jasmine, saying he thinks they had a fight, but Justin sums up the news as something happened, he doesn’t know what but it’s okay, and they don’t have to do anything. Mason goes to bed. Justin tells Leah he’ll talk to him tomorrow if necessary before leading her to his room.

At the farm house, Maggie tells Ben it might have seemed intrusive but their friends care and he was rude. Ben calls her over and kisses her. Maggie isn’t complaining but wonders why. Ben says he misses them being together. They kiss again. Next morning, Robbo and Scott chat about everything being set up next door. Jasmine comes in dressed in her nurse’s uniform and Scott says he’ll wait in the car. Jasmine is grateful for a bit of normality and returning to work, even with Scott guarding her. She adds that in any other circumstances spending time with Robbo in a motel room would be great and they vow to do it again one day.

Roo and Maggie meet up on the beach. Maggie says Ben’s fine, since they talked and reconnected last night, and has gone with Ziggy to try out the new board. Raffy and Marilyn approach and Raffy asks if she can get her HSC trial results early. Maggie says it’s against protocol but agrees to make an exception. At the Diner, Raffy and Marilyn wait as Maggie looks it up on her laptop. Marilyn tries to suggest it’s not the be all and end all. Maggie finds the results and her expression says it all. Raffy asks how bad it is and Maggie says it’s not good.

Robbo goes to another motel room which has been largely cleared and had the evidence installed. He opens Dylan’s file, takes out his photo and pins it to a board.
