Extended Summary

As Angel, Sarah and Tug talk in the Diner about the coffee incident, Shane and Damian come in and Shane makes his apologises to Angel and thinks it would be better if they steered clear of one another before someone gets hurt. He refuses to rise to Tug’s goading and Angel actually looks disappointed. They go and sit down and Damian wants to know what he’s up to and Shane says it’s all in his game plan.
At the beach house, Sam’s jam session ends and he’s got to get ready for school. Luke’s reluctant to take his fee but Greg insists he takes it. When Luke offers to take Sam to school, Greg says he’s got to go to Yabbie Creek to do the shopping and school is on the way.

Roxy’s checking the school notice board and is in a very good mood when Luke arrives and tells him she wants to take him on a picnic, as her way of saying thanks for fixing her car. Sarah finds it hard to believe Angel, when she says she’s glad Shane has agreed to leave her alone but the bell goes and Luke is rounding up his students for his geography class and joking about poisoned tipped spears. Damian’s worried about what Shane has in store for Angel because she’s his friend and doesn’t want him to make a fool of himself again. Shane says he only wants to know so he can warn her and says when he comes up with an idea, he won’t be telling him. They arrive late for the class but later on he sneaks into the cookery classroom and finds a bottle of substance that brings a big smile to his face. He puts it in his bag and leaves and tells Damian later, he’s got a plan. The next class is a cookery lesson and he gets his chance to pay her back when he tips the substance into her cake mixture when she’s not looking. Damian’s like a cat on hot bricks as he waits for Shane’s move but Shane tells him he’s not going to do anything. Instead, he goes over to Angel and tries to convince her he was being sincere in the Diner and wants to call a truce. She says she’ll think about it and he’s got a big grin on his face.

As Greg puts the groceries into the boot of his car, a young woman is frantically looking for her three year old son and he helps her look for him. They find Toby sitting in a mechanical car and Greg puts some money in it and they agree to have a cup of coffee but she insist on paying, for helping her look for son. As they have a drink, Fiona tells him about herself and Toby and that she’s unattached. When she says they’ve got to go and catch the bus, he offers to drive her home. At first she refuses but Greg says he’s got nothing else to do, so she agrees and Toby’s very excited about having a car ride. They live out in the sticks and when she gets out of the car, they realise they haven’t introduced themselves. They rectify this and as she and Toby walk off down the track, he sits there for a moment, watching her before driving off.

Angel and Sarah go to the Diner and Angel is starting to mellow towards Shane and Sarah’s pleased. Roxy is telling Bobby about the picnic but Luke comes in and says he can’t make it because he’s got to go to the city to see his mother in hospital. He explains, she’s had a fall and his brother will be coming to stay with him until she’s better. They’re surprised he’s got a brother but he seem quite proud of him.

Back in the cookery class, the cakes are iced and ready for judging and Tug gets the honours. The first three are fine but when he tastes the next one, he spits it out and says it’s horrible. Roxy doesn’t believe him but she pulls a face when she tastes it and Angel’s not happy because it’s her cake. Shane’s finally got his revenge and he makes sure she know it and she tells him to get lost, when she realises he added lemon essences to her cake.

Greg goes to the Diner and he’s in a good mood but when he tries to talk to Bobby about meeting Fiona and Toby, she’s too busy to listen, so he leaves. Roxy and Fin come in and they are speculating on how old Luke’s brother is and Fin excited at the prospect of meeting him.

Tug and Angel go home with Sarah and Tug tells Angel he warned her Shane would do something like this to get back at her and she’s absolutely furious. Sarah thinks he’s regretting doing it but Angel’s had enough of school life and vows never to return, despite Sarah’s pleas to rethink her decision.

Back at the Ross house, Damian and Shane argue over his deceit against Angel and Damian’s mad with him for lying to him but Shane says she deserved it. As they continue their heated discussion, Fin tells them to cool it and Shane decides to go. Fin’s hanging around waiting for Luke’s return and Damian’s knows she’s really waiting to see his brother. She assumes he’s got to be as good looking as Luke but Damian says he could be ugly, to which Fin replies, “If that’s the case, he can have him”. She goes out just as Luke drives up and she goes over to meet them.

It ends when Luke introduces her to his brother Bill and he appears to be a simpleton…
