Extended Summary

Tug is out on the beach doing his training, watched by Adam. Sarah comes along just as he finishes his stint and he’s disappointed that Adam wasn’t pleased with his performance. Then he argues with Sarah over her going back on her word about rehearsing with Shane for the dumb musical.

At the Diner, Angel tells Ailsa about Fisher’s offer but she’s not keen and when Adam comes in and hears what they are talking about, he tells her she’d have to be desperate to want to stay there. Ailsa’s furious with him and tries to get Angel to think about it but she says she’ll find somewhere else. Back at Fisher’s, Shane annoys him over his attitude towards Angel and they have a heated argument.

Alf goes home to find Roxy’s can’t find a blouse she brought home from the dry cleaners and Imogen acts all innocence about it, because she’s the one who took it. Roxy goes off to see if she can find the garment, leaving Imogen to put on an act, to the unsuspecting Alf. Needless to say, she comes back empty handed but on the way home, she meets Sarah and they talk about the play. Sarah goes to the Diner with Tug and Shane wastes not time in annoying Tug, by talking to her. The rehearsals at the Surf Club go badly, with both Sarah and Shane fluffing their lines, prompting Luke to have a go at them. While Sarah tries to come to a decision about Tug, he’s at the Diner telling Ailsa that he was unable to talk to his Dad on the phone, so he’ll visit him instead. Roxy comes in and tries to resolve the problem with him about Sarah and Shane rehearsing together, but he tells her to butt out. Back at the Surf Club, Roxy tells Sarah what happened and that she needs to sort it out or the play will suffer.

Angel gets accosted by some blokes and when they try it on, she chucks her drink at them and manages to escape their clutches.

Next day, Adam comes in with the post and Tug’s gets a letter from his Dad, telling him they should go their separate ways and the guy is devastated.

Ailsa takes a walk along the beach and bumps into Angel, who appears to be upset. She takes her back to the Diner and tries once again to persuade her to take up Fisher’s offer. Adam comes in looking for Bobby and tells Ailsa about the letter Tug got. He thinks Bobby’s the only one who can get through to him.

Roxy’s pleased when Sarah finally makes up her mind to rehearse with Shane, despite Tug’s opposition. Sarah leaves as Alf comes in with his breakfast. Whilst he and Roxy talk, Imogen’s at it again. Knowing Roxy’s about to go to the printers with the dates for the play, she changes them and an unsuspecting Roxy goes off with them.

Angel arrives as Fisher and Shane are having breakfast and she says she would like to stay, just for a while. Fisher is delighted but Shane’s isn’t!

It ends with Sarah calling in on Tug to tell him her decision, but he’s so down about his Dad’s letter, she chicks out. He tells her he’s grateful that she still wants him, but does she have the courage to carry out her convictions….?
