Lucas wanted to make it up to Tony for sinking his boat so decided to buy him a new one. Alf tipped him off that Maurice Webb was selling a boat and arranged for him to see it, pointing out some damage and advising Lucas to talk to Maurice about a discount. Geoff then saw Lucas looking at the damage and thought he was actually sabotaging it. Later, Lucas spoke to Maurice and pointed out the ding in the side which led Maurice to accuse Lucas of doing it as he said it wasn’t there before. Lucas protested his innocence but Maurice didn’t believe him and said the asking price still stood. Geoff then told Maurice he saw Lucas tampering with it so Maurice got the police involved. Alf vouched for Lucas which appeased Maurice but in the meantime he had already sold the boat, so Lucas missed out.
