David was a rather dodgy gun salesman who Martha contacted when she was feeling nervous after her encounter with Corey. He let her try out a weapon at his private range and told her she’d need a license to purchase it. Martha didn’t want to submit an application to the police because she didn’t want Jack finding out and asked David if she could purchase one without going through legal channels, which he agreed to. After Martha had accidentally fired the gun at Ric in a panic, she took it back to David and asked for a refund and even offered to let him keep the money if he took the gun back but he refused and drove off. The altercation was witnessed by Jack, who told Martha the police were aware David was doing illegal arms deals.
