Jason was one of the students at Summer Bay High, in the same year as the likes of Ric, Cassie and Matilda.When Diesel joined the school, Jason made fun of him for his unusual appearance while Sally and Matilda were showing him around school.When Diesel took Matilda out, in order to disprove rumours that he was gay, Jason told him he was fooling no-one and was probably only going out with her so he could borrow her clothes.The two boys got into a fight which Ric and Sally broke up.

When Matilda started dressing in a provocative fashion to get over her break-up with Diesel, Jason’s interest was piqued and he took her along to a party on the beach, where he persuaded her to drink alcohol with him then danced with and made out with her.He tried to call her a few days later but Henry claimed she wasn’t at home.When he and Henry were arguing during class, Sally told them to be quiet and Jason quipped that he was surprised she noticed anyone other than Diesel.He later approached Matilda at the surf club but she told him to get lost and he backed off when Cassie echoed the sentiment.He approached Matilda again when she was alone but by that point she had transferred her affections to the even more inappropriate Callan, who started a fight with Jason when he called Matilda easy.

He was later seen among the students being interviewed when Sally was accused of having an affair with Diesel and did her case no favours by saying he’d seen them together outside school and even his mum had thought it was weird.
