Because the spoilers could mean that Jack is stunned that his boys caused a death and he wants the garage closed while Robert's in hospital. Also if Robert yells that there is petrol leaking and they need to get out and Andy and Max are still in the car surely one of them will die. That way Jack can still disown Robert, force him to leave the village and this would explain Karl Davies telling the press he left after being invovled in a car crash at the end of October. Also i kind of blame Max himself and Robert because Robert drove the car but max caused the crash because Andy was keeping calm and I feel Robert would have chickened out!
