The next day (Thursday) at TAFE, Vicki arrives to class later than usual.

Vicki: Sorry I’m late Lolly. I didn’t realise I slept in.

Lolly: It’s okay.

*Vicki sits by herself*

Alison: Hey Vicki. Aren’t you going to sit with us?

Vicki: I would love too but I’m afraid I would be bursting somebody’s bubble if I do.

Melissa: What’s going on?

Vicki: Ask Sylvia!

Melissa: Sylvia?

Sylvia: Don’t ask me! I don’t know why she’s upset!

*Rachael glares at her*

Rachael: You are such a LIAR!!!

Sylvia: EXCUSE ME?!?!

Rachael: YOU’RE THE ONE THAT WENT OFF HER HIGH HORSE YESTERDAY BECAUSE VICKI SAID THAT TINA WOULD BE A GREAT MOTHER!!!

Alison: Come on girls.

Melissa: What was the fight about Vicki?

Vicki: Sylvia yelled at me because she reckons when I said that I hope Tina was a good mother, she thought that I was calling you a s**t mother!

Melissa: Sylvia!!!!

Sylvia: I didn’t mean it like that!!

Melissa: I don’t care how you meant it! You went too far madam!

Rachael: That’s right.

Alison: Just stop arguing please!

*Lolly loses her patience*

Lolly: WHY DON’T YOU LOT BE QUIET????

*The class is shocked by her tone of voice as she is mostly calm and quiet*

Lolly: *calms down* Now. Back to our work.

At Civic High School, Riggot and Tyson are in the Maths staffroom with the head teacher and Mr Ta. Mareta dobbed them in for cheating on the Maths test.

Miss Ayrton: What have you got to say for yourselves?

Riggot: I don’t know what this is about.

Miss Ayrton: Your sister came and saw us because she found out that Tyson was cheating off you.

Tyson: We didn’t cheat Miss.

Mr Ta: You guys know you did. So, don’t try and cover it up now.

Miss Ayrton: Here’s what’s going to happen. You will both get a zero on that quiz and I will be phoning your parents and letting them know what happened. Now leave.

*Riggot and Tyson leave in shame*

When Riggot sees Mareta at recess, he starts shouting at her.

Riggot: THANKS A LOT DEAR SISTER!!!

Mareta: For what?

Riggot: Snitching on me and Tyson.

Mareta: That’s what you get for cheating brother. I wasn’t gonna lie for you.

Riggot: All I know is that Dad is gonna kill me!

Mareta: Well, you shouldn’t have cheated on the quiz.

Riggot: Maybe I’ll tell Mum where you buy your cruisers from aye?

Mareta: Don’t you dare!

Riggot: Oh. Maybe I will. *runs off*

*Mareta looks worried*

When Alison has finished TAFE, she goes straight to Leon’s house. She knocks on the door.

*Lowana opens it*

Lowana: Hey Alison. How’s it going?

Alison: I had a terrible day. Half of my friends aren’t talking to each other.

Lowana: That’s too bad. I hear you wanted to talk to me.

Alison: I did. And Leon.

Lowana: Well Leon’s with “her” at the moment.

Alison: Her?

Lowana: You know. His girlfriend.

Alison: Right. Listen, could you like talk to Leon and tell him how you feel about him dating?

Lowana: I tried, but he just accused me of being selfish. *starts to cry*

Alison: Hey. It’s okay. I’ll talk to him when he gets back. *hugs her*

Twenty minutes later, Leon returns home from Hayley’s house.

Alison: Can we talk for a minute?

Leon: Sure. *they walk into his bedroom*

Alison: What is going on?

Leon: Well, my so-called sister tells Hayley on Monday that she can no longer go out with me and when I tell her to butt out, she slapped me and then I punched her. Then she tried to be manipulative again, but got told off by our parents.

Alison: I don’t think it’s Lowana’s place to say anything about your relationship with Hayley.

Leon: I’m upset with her.

Alison: I know. *goes over to Leon and hugs him*

At Hayley’s house, she is talking to her mother about Lowana.

Hayley: God she can be such a control freak!

Mrs Martin: Try not to let her bother you darling. I approve of your relationship with him.

Hayley: I wonder how she’d like it if we told her I was pregnant!

Mrs Martin: Don’t you cause trouble young lady! You just ignore her!

Hayley: I will.

*Suddenly, a rock gets thrown at the window. It has a note attached to it.*

Mrs Martin: What does it say Hayley?

*Hayley reads the letter*

Hayley: “STAY AWAY FROM LEON OR YOU DIE!!” *looks worried*

Hayley runs over to Leon’s house with the note clutched in her hand.

*Hayley knocks on the door. Leon opens it*

Leon: Hayley? You look terrible.

Hayley: Anyone home?

Leon: My parents are still at work and Lowana’s gone to the mall.

*Hayley shows him the note*

Leon: That’s odd. All of the letters were clipped out of magazines.

Hayley: I bet it was Todd.

Leon: No. Todd’s more of an in-your-face type of person. So is Natalie.

Hayley: I’m worried for my own safety. *starts to cry*

*Leon pulls her into a tight embrace*

Leon: Don’t believe what the note says. They’re just trying to get you upset.

*Mr Longbottom arrives home from work an hour early*

Mr Longbottom: Hi kids. Is something the matter?

Leon: This. *hands Mr Longbottom the note*

*Mr Longbottom reads it*

Mr Longbottom: Where does Lowana keep her magazines?

Leon: All over the place I guess.

*Mr Longbottom goes into Lowana’s bedroom. He comes out five minutes later with a cut-out DOLLY magazine.*

Mr Longbottom: Well Hayley. I think we just found who sent that note to you. Where’s Lowana?

Leon: At the mall.

*At that moment, Lowana arrives back home*

Lowana: I’m back.

Mr Longbottom: I’m glad your home Lowana.

Lowana: Why? What’s going on?

Mr Longbottom: *shows her the cut-out magazine and the note* I’d like you to tell me what this is all about if its not too much trouble.

*Lowana rolls her eyes*

Over at Riggot’s house, he is getting a lecture from his mother for cheating on his Maths quiz.

Mrs Varu: How could you?

Riggot: I’m sorry. I just wanted to help Tyson.

Mrs Varu: That is not an excuse. Tyson should be doing his on work and you shouldn’t give him the answers during a quiz.

Riggot: If this was Mareta, you would give her a slap on the wrist!

Mrs Varu: Mareta has never cheated on a test!

Riggot: But she has lied to you. She’s been drinking cruisers behind your back!

Mrs Varu: Is that right? MARETA!!!!!

*Mareta comes downstairs*

At Alison’s house, her and Amy have invited Kat over for dinner. They are having a roast dinner.

Kat: This is the best roast dinner I’ve had in ages.

Alison: Well you can thank Amy for that. She cooked dinner tonight. *smiles*

Amy: Is Carina all right by herself?

Kat: Actually, she gone late night shopping with Donna and Alexis.

Alison: When I lived in Summer Bay, I used to go late night shopping at Yabbie Creek.

Amy: Would anyone like some dessert?

Alison: What did you make?

Amy: Chocolate cake.

Kat: Okay. Lets dig in.

*the girls grab slices of cake and start to eat it*

At Leon’s house, Mr Longbottom is trying to get to the bottom of Lowana’s behaviour.

Mr Longbottom: I’m really trying to be reasonable here. But you’re not making it easy.

Lowana: What else do you want me to say? I admit it. I sent the note.

Mr Longbottom: You don’t sound like your sorry.

Lowana: I’m not. She’s just a trollop that is just trying to pressure Leon into having relations with him.

Leon: That’s garbage!

Hayley: Lowana, that is not true!

Lowana: DON’T YOU EVEN SPEAK ME!

Mr Longbottom: THAT’S ENOUGH!

Lowana: She’s the one that showed Leon the letter in the first place!

Mr Longbottom: That doesn’t give you the right to be rude!

Lowana: I’ll say what I like. I’m glad I sent that note and if you think I’m going to apologise then you can forget it.

Mr Longbottom: THEN YOU BETTER KEEP A CIVIL TONGUE IN YOUR HEAD OR I’LL GIVE YOU THE BIGGEST HIDING YOU’VE EVER HAD!!!

Leon: Dad…

Mr Longbottom: DON’T TRY AND CALM ME DOWN SON! I’VE HAD A GUTFUL OF HER BEHAVIOUR. NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME YOUNG LADY, SENDING THAT NOTE WAS WAY OUT OF LINE SO IS ALL OF YOUR MANIPULATIONS AND SELFISHNESS. IT’S GONNA STOP DO YOU HEAR ME???

*Lowana looks away at him in disgust*

Mr Longbottom: DON’T YOU LOOK AWAY FROM ME WHEN I AM TALKING TO YOU!!! YOU BEHAVE LIKE A CHILD. IT’S ABOUT TIME YOU GREW UP! AND IF YOU DON’T STOP THIS RIGHT NOW, YOU’LL THE OUT ON YOUR EAR!!!

Lowana: AND WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU GOING TO DO DAD??? PROVIDE LEON AND HAYLEY WITH A DOUBLE BED???

Mr Longbottom: RIGHT THAT’S IT!!! UNTIL YOU LEARN HOW TO BEHAVE YOURSELF, I DON’T WANT YOU AROUND HERE!!! YOU CAN LIVE WITH YOUR AUNTY CHERYL!!!

Lowana: That suits me fine! *storms off*

The next day (Friday), Alexis truants school to see an old friend Debbie Morgan from her old high school.

Alexis: Hello Debbie.

Debbie: Hey Alexis. How’s it going? *they kiss each other on the cheek*

Alexis: Good. How about you?

Debbie: Couldn’t be any better.

Alexis: Why did you want me to meet you here?

Debbie: I went to the doctor’s on Tuesday.

Alexis: And?

Debbie: They found a tumour in my brain.

Alexis: OMG!!! You’re joking!

Debbie: No. I’m going to die.

*Alexis looks remorseful*

Alexis: How long have you got to live?

Debbie: A month or two.

Alexis: OMG!! *gives Debbie a hug*

At TAFE, Vicki and Sylvia sit next to each other in the lunchroom.

Sylvia: Hey.

Vicki: Hi.

Sylvia: I just want to say that I’m really sorry for snapping at you on Wednesday. I’ve just been stressed out with my hospitality course and work.

Vicki: I’m sorry about yesterday as well.

Sylvia: Friends?

Vicki: No. Best friends. *goes over to Sylvia and hugs her*

At Leon’s house, Lowana is putting her suitcases into her car. She is going to stay with her Aunty Cheryl in Balmain.

Lowana: Bye.

Mr Longbottom: Lowana, I really don’t want to part on bad terms with you.

Lowana: Well you already have haven’t you. *gets into her car* Say goodbye to Leon for me.

Mr Longbottom: I will.

As soon as leaves her house, Lowana arrives in Balmain to stay at her Aunty Cheryl’s house.

*Lowana knocks on the door. Cheryl answers it*

Cheryl: Inside!

*Lowana goes inside the house with her suitcase and then sits down on the sofa*

Lowana: And hello to you too Aunty Cheryl.

Cheryl: Your father tells me that you tried to break Leon’s heart by telling his girlfriend not to date him anymore.

Lowana: So?

Cheryl: So you sent a threatening note to her and got kicked out of home! And if you think of trying your manipulative or selfish behaviour in this house, you will be flogged! Are we clear on that missy?

Lowana: Maybe.

Cheryl: And you can start by cleaning the kitchen floor!

Lowana: I JUST GOT HERE!!!

Cheryl: Was that a complaint missy?

Lowana: Yes it was.

Cheryl: Just for that, you can scrub the bathroom floor as well.

*Lowana rolls her eyes*

Over at Alison’s house, she is in the living room watching Living Dolls when the doorbell rings.

*Alison opens the door to find Alexis standing there*

Alexis: I need to talk to someone.

Alexis: I just received some terrible news from my friend Debbie Morgan from Pittwater High.

Alexis: No. She has a brain tumour and is going to die.

Alison: Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear that. *hugs Alexis*

Alexis: I have to spend time with her even if it means missing out on school.

Alison: You can’t miss school sis. Your education is important as well.

*Alexis starts to cry*

Alexis: Thanks. I might as well be on my way. I haven’t gone home yet.

Alison: Try and think positive things.

When Alexis gets home, her mother is waiting for her towards the staircase.

Claire: About time you got home. What’s this I hear about you not going to school?

Alexis: I was at school.

Claire: Don’t put the lies on now. I got a call from Mr Foord saying that you didn’t show up to school.

Alexis: Just get off my case Mum!

Claire: Where did you go?

Alexis: None of your business.

Claire: I AM YOUR MOTHER SO IT IS MY BUSINESS ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING!!!

Alexis: All right. Debbie Morgan wanted to talk to me and I found out she’s got a month or so to live! Satisfied?

Claire: That’s awful. But it still doesn’t change what you did. You are grounded this weekend.

Alexis: Sorry. I’m going to a party tomorrow night.

Claire: Grounded means grounded Alexis! SO NO PARTY!!!

At 9:00 the next morning (Saturday), Nina officially opens her new beauty salon which is called ‘Nina’s Beauty Hub’.

Nina: I’m proud to officially open my new beauty salon to you all. Me and my talented staff will put in a lot of effort to make sure the women of Civic look beautiful. We style hair for weddings, school formals, and any other social outing. We have an area for manicures and pedicures, a make-up table so we can apply your make-up for you. And we’re also going to sell make-up, shampoos and hair accessories so you women can look stylish. So, without any further ado let the counting begin.

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

*Nina cuts the ribbon with a pair of scissors*

Crowd: YAY!!! *start clapping*

*Dina walks over to Nina*

Dina: I’m so proud of you Nina. This is going to be a major success.

*Alison walks over to them*

Alison: I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.

Alison: Her and Brock have gone to Adelaide for a month. Early honeymoon.

Dina: I just hope they are back in time for their wedding.

At Cheryl’s house, Lowana is eating her breakfast when she walks in.

Cheryl: I want those dishes clean when you finish your breakfast.

Lowana: Excuse me Aunty Cheryl. YOU cooked out of that frying pan. Not me.

Cheryl: Don’t answer back and just do as you’re told!

Lowana: Bitch!

Cheryl: And I will not allow swearing in this house either!

*Lowana grabs her bowl of cereal and dumps it on Cheryl’s blouse*

Lowana: *sarcastically* I’m sorry.

Cheryl: Right. You will now vacuum the living room as soon as you finish the dishes!

*Cheryl goes over to Lowana and slaps her*

Later on, Lowana goes over to the garden and cuts off all of Cheryl’s prized roses.

Lowana: Bye-bye roses. *grabs the bag of roses and throws them into the garden bin*

*Cheryl arrives home and sees Lowana put the roses into the bin*

Cheryl: LOWANA!!!! THOSE WERE MY ROSES!!!!!

Lowana: You’re not the only one who has a backbone. *sprays weed killer on the roses*

*Cheryl goes over to Lowana and flogs her with a newspaper*

At the park, Carina is spending time with Alex.

Alex: I just want to thank you for helping me over the past few weeks.

Carina: No worries.

Alex: Has that Natalie bitch give you a hard time?

Carina: Sometimes but I just tend to ignore her now.

Alex: I can’t stand her. She should go out with Todd.

*they both laugh*

Alex: Wanna get some ice-cream?

Carina: Sure.

*Natalie sees them*

Natalie: Lovers!!!

Carina: At least I’m with a man. Why don’t you play kissy face with Ella?

Alex: That is SO funny Carina! *starts to laugh*

Carina: Get some ice-cream.

Alex: Right. *they go and walk over to the ice-cream stand*

When Cheryl goes into her bedroom to have a nap, Lowana goes over to the phone and rings the local police.

Policeman: Good afternoon. Balmain Police Station.

Lowana: *pretends to cry* Hi, I would like to report an assault.

Policeman: What happened miss?

Lowana: I was beaten up with a newspaper and a frying pan.

Police: Who assaulted you?

Lowana: My aunty; Cheryl Cosgrove. *smiles*
