Darren: Dead?

*Kierain takes the phone and screams in it before hanging up*
Rose: Why’d you scream at the phone for?
Kierain: Scammers!

Police have made a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward as they try to work out what happened to Summer Bay woman Sharni Vickers. The 23 year-old TAFE student was last seen alive on March 9 last year. Her body found behind the Yabbie Creek Hotel three months later. Police have offered a reward of $20,000 to help catch Sharni’s killer.

Alf: She was a good kid.
Stephanie: Calls for a fresh inquest into the 1963 Yabbie Creek plane crash have been answered with the state coroner planning to hold an inquest into their deaths next month. 47 year-old pilot, Joseph Fahey and his two passengers 30 year-old Pamela Griggs and her 22 year-old sister Shirley Griggs were all killed in the explosion just before Christmas.

Later that afternoon, Alex and Rose are at Sydney Airport.
Rose: What did you do to the car?
Alex: I burnt it. The car is no more!
Rose: Good one. *smirks*
Alex: Where are we going?
Rose: We’re off to Brazil.
Alex: Great! It’s about time we cut ties with the Wandin Valley mob!
Rose: Yeah, especially that little ratbag!
Alex: Oh him! I told you he’ll be sorry for messing with me.
*Alex and Rose walk towards the terminal before entering the plane*
V/O: Flight 569 bound for Brazil is about to take off.
Rose: Brazil, here we come!
Alex: You said it, Rose!
*they laugh as the plane flies away*
(Meanwhile, the police are talking to Bette and Kierain.)
Bette: Did you find my honey’s car?
Policewoman: Yes, we did.
Kierain: Where is it?
Policeman: I’m sorry to say that the culprits burnt it. The car is a complete write-off.
*Kierain is livid!*
Kierain: HOW DARE THEY?!
Policewoman: We’re really sorry, sir.
Kierain: THEY ARE DEAD WHEN I GET MY HANDS OF THEM! DEAD! *storms upstairs*
*His bedroom door is heard slamming*
Policeman: We did our best, Miss Midler.
Bette: INSTEAD OF EXCUSES, ARREST THOSE WOMEN!
Policewoman: Okay, okay. *backs off*
Bette: GOOD!
*The police officers literally bolt off*
Bette: You better run! *closes the front door*
*Bette goes upstairs to Kierain’s room*
Bette: Honey?
Kierain: I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY TO BUY THAT CAR!
*Bette hugs him as he cries*
Kierain: I hate them, Mum! I really do!
Bette: There, there.
*Bette rocks Kierain until he calms down*
Bette: That better, honey?
*Kierain nods*

At the Bayside Diner, Misty is talking to Demetrius.
Misty: I feel lousy.
Demetrius: Why?
Misty: Freya left the Bay this morning to go to university in Melbourne.
Demetrius: She was like a sister to you, wasn’t she?
Misty: She sure was. *starts to tear up*
Demetrius: Misty…
*Misty starts crying*
Demetrius: Come here.
*Misty and Demetrius hug*
Misty: It’s not fair! I’ve lost five of the most important people in my life now. First, my Dad, then my Mum and little brother, then Josh and now Freya.
Demetrius: You’ve still got me. I’ll always be your friend.
Misty: Thank you. *sniffs* You are such a gentleman.
*Demetrius smiles at Misty*
Demetrius: And you are the most beautiful girl I ever laid eyes on.
*Misty blushes*
(At Alf and Ailsa’s, they have invited Jennifer over for coffee and a chat.)
Jennifer: So, where is Ruth these days?
Alf: She’s in Broome living with Debra.
Jennifer: Oh.
Ailsa: She had a bit of trouble with her ex-boyfriend in Broome. He got her hooked on drugs.
*Jennifer looks shocked*
Jennifer: No!
Alf: If I ever see the flaming little mongrel…
Jennifer: You’ll give him what for. You haven’t changed, Alf. *laughs*
Alf: Ails, where are the kids?
Ailsa: Blake and Karen went to the Fletchers, while Chantelle had to go to Yabbie Creek to pay the electricity bill.
Alf: I see. So, Jen?
Jennifer: Yes?
Alf: How are things with you and Daniel going?
*Jennifer looks tense*
Jennifer: I’d rather not discuss it, thank you.
Ailsa: Are you sure?
Jennifer: I SAID I would not discuss about it!
*Alf and Ailsa look at each other in surprise*
Jennifer: I’m sorry. I think I should go. *leaves*
Alf: I don’t think something is right here.
Ailsa: I think you’re right, Alf.
Alf: I just hope Daniel hasn’t done something to hurt Jen.
Ailsa: You and Jennifer have always been close, haven’t you?
Alf: We sure have. I’d hate to see her get hurt.
*Ailsa and Alf kiss*
(That night, someone sneaks up to the general store and throws a petrol bomb through the window.)
*The culprit watches as the store goes up in flames*
Male voice: Smell ya later!
*the male culprit runs off*
*An hour later, Lauren and Nicole are walking towards the store when they see fire crews and police at the scene*
Nicole: Oh my gosh!
Lauren: Where are Mum and Dad? MUM! DAD!
*Constable Janet Walsh approaches Lauren*
Janet: Lauren?
Lauren: Where are Mum and Dad?
Janet: I’m sorry to inform you that your parents and Dr Phil Matheson all died in the fire.
Lauren: No! NO! NOOOOOOOOOO!
*Lauren cries hysterically as Nicole hugs her*
Nicole: I’m so sorry.
*Lauren continues to wail, as a crying Nicole continues to hug her*
