Matilda woke up in fright, it was Christmas day and it was turning into a repeat of Martha and Jacks wedding. She turned to look at the clock; it was 5:39 am. She heard the front door slam. She almost fell out of bed. Secretly she wanted to go see who it was, but after that dream, she wasn’t sure. She got out of bed and ran to the corner of her room and picked up Tony’s baseball bat she had in there. She opened the door to her room ,very slowly, breathing heavily. She walked down the stairs, tiptoeing trying to be a quiet as a mouse. She saw this figure standing at the bottom of the stairs, smiling at her. She was ready to hit it over the head, as she could not see who it was. Light shone on the figure and Matilda screamed in joy and dropped the baseball bat. She recognized that face immediately. It was her twin brother, Henry, back from boarding school for a Christmas Break. He had been there for 2 years and last year he couldn’t visit. He just couldn’t, and yet he still hadn’t given an explanation for it Matilda ran down the stairs, almost tripping on her own feet. When she finally got down the bottom, she hugged him as tightly as she could. She had missed him too much. Beth woke up after hearing the bat drop and Matilda screaming. Beth has no idea what had happened. She looked at the clock and it was 5:42. She got up and ran down to find what had happened to Matilda. She stopped at the top of the stairs when she saw who was standing down there. “Mum!” Henry shouted, in joy “Henry! Come hear sweet” She replied Henry ran p the stairs, almost as fast as Matilda had run down them. They kissed and hugged when he got to the top of the stairs. Matilda climbed up the stairs, got the bat, kissed her mum and went back to her room When she laid the baseball bat down on the bed, She heard Robbies voice from behind her “Merry Christmas, little sis. What were you doing with that?” He asked “Go to the top of the stairs. You might find your answer there” She replied Robbie got worried, not knowing what to expect. When he saw that it was his little brother he ran up to him and gave him a hug from behind. Henry squealed in delight, not knowing who was there. He saw Robbie and got all excited. “Everyone!
