  1. I haven't a clue, and doubt I'd be able to find out as it's over a decade ago since they both changed. I'd have thought they'd have to have a pretty good reason for doing so, with both of them being well established for a number of years, so can only presume the owners didn't want them filming there any more. With Leah's it may have been the case that they wanted somewhere closer to Palm Beach than the original (just a guess given we don't know yet where it was), though that argument doesn't work with the Beach House as the new one is further away from Palmy than the original. As I've said before though, it's been a long time so they should go and try again - presuming they still remember where the locations are, if not then that's when our locations section comes in handy
  2. Another location from the same road, the Jones House, has been uploaded to the site today. I guess it can pass in a stock shot, but if you look at it for any longer you start to realise that things don't really match up - another Leah situation with there being no room for the room at the bottom of the stairs (unless the right hand doors lead to that), and of course it doesn't help when they show the nighttime shot and you can clearly see the interior of the real house. Still, if they were that desperate to change locations, they could have done worse I guess - just doesn't have the same feel as the old one... For those who were interested in the above conversation, we recently managed to track down the 'new' Beach House after about 6 years of searching and it's on our 'To Photograph' list The search has now stepped up for an equally difficult one, the original Nash House (i.e. Leah's house in it's 1995-2000ish incarnation) - which is one of only 2-3 remaining major houses to find from over the years. When you look at the original again it just reiterates how bad the current choice for Leah's House is!
  3. Today's update is the filming location for the Jones House (Melody's place)
  4. A new location uploaded today, aswell as a small update to an existing location and a guest character profile from 2007.
  5. Yup, and the road was the usual West Head Road a.k.a 'Old Yabbie Creek Road' which we see a lot, and the page for which I've just updated with some more pics and info. The junction where we saw John/Gina and Liam/Bianca was here, with John/Gina turning right towards Akuna Bay, and Liam/Bianca going left. There was also a brief shot of Roo's car heading along the stretch seen in the first pics on our location page (where Dani hit Kane etc.) In other location news, after much discussion in here at the beginning of the year, the new location of Leah's House has also been uploaded to the site today
  6. Interesting indeed - I hadn't paid that much attention to them before The 2nd set of 1989 titles have been uploaded today
  7. Cheers Andrew, as I'm sure you can appreciate it can take a lot of time to go through and find the best shots we can from 15 year old episodes. Have to agree with your opinion of that set too Today's update - Sets 2&3 of the same titles have now been uploaded to the site - the following 2 sets will follow soon before we move onto 1996. Also a reminder for everyone from Quizmaster that you still have another week to enter November's quiz!
  8. Laurie is probably my all time favorite too. I would love to be able to write to her but lack a mailing address as I assume H&A no longer forwards her mail as she's been off screens for a long time now. I know a lot of actors sign for fans but I've always gotten the impression from Laurie (and also from Esther Anderson for that matter) that the really appreciate their fans and don't take the letters and cards they receive from them lightly. It's a real admirable quality. You can reach Laurie at: Laurie Foell c/o Mollison Keightley Management 139 Cathedral Street Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011 Australia Laurie is always grateful to hear from her fans - I should also point out that she now has an official Facebook page where she's guaranteed to read your messages/answer any questions
  9. We're currently working through the backlog - they have been delayed due to reasons beyond our control. Obviously the more weeks that get backed up, the longer they take to get through
  10. Yup it was
  11. Continuing our Credits Centre updates (after adding the first 1989 titles last week), I've now started the 1995 page revamp, with the first set of titles for that year now updated - the rest of the year (4 more versions) will follow shortly.
  12. Just to bring this thread back up from the depths so people are aware of it's existence
  13. Saw 3D (i.e. Saw VII), after having the last of our yearly marathons of the previous instalments.
  14. Only moderators can delete topics, but we've seen the topic in question and have done so
  15. A minor location from earlier this year uploaded to the site today. We've also been working extra hard on tracking down some early years locations over the past few months (which is a heck of a lot more difficult), and am glad to say we now have a majority of the original houses now photographed Lost count of the locations still to be uploaded - but it must be around 70
  16. Mick Morelli fans rejoice! A double whammy update for him today, with both his character profile and the location of his caryard being uploaded to the site. Also been several 1988 episode summaries/profiles/reference material uploaded over the past few days.
  17. Only appears to be Lynne in Southsea this year (Ray obviously being in Priscilla as opposed to a panto)
  18. You're referring to the underscore (those particular summaries aren't some of our best ones, but ones we inherited ) - and a few of the characters had their own themes (Bobby's Theme, the Fletcher Family theme etc.). These were written especially for the show by Mike Perjanik and unfortunately are not available to the public. I did post a long, fairly clean version of Bobby's Theme a while back though (which is actually from an ep airing this coming week on 7Two), which you can find here - probably the nearest we'll get to a full version.
  19. Indeed, 3 years ago today I was visiting Yabbie Creek and Osbourne's Mansion - how time flies. We had quite a bit of fun with the behind-the-scenes talk (and I know I did with the teasing ). For those that weren't around at that time, you can see what was happening 3 years ago here. As for those dozens of features - well we managed a fair few with the locations and spoilers, but Seven kindly put a stop to any video interviews and a studio tour when they were in the process of being arranged. Apologies for the site/forum downtime over the past few hours - this wasn't our doing but rather a technical issue with one of our host's server clusters, with a lot of their sites being affected.
  20. You can now read the latest update in our search for original cast member Helena Bozich on the main site
  21. Continuing as normal on Monday. Not sure of the exact reasons behind it, but for the last 2 weeks of 1988 the show was only shown Mon-Thurs, hence why it's 2 eps behind. It was obviously planned like this though with the finale being 228. This continued for the first 3 weeks of 1989 until the episodes matched up once again and returned to 5 days a week. It also occurred at the end of 1989 and 1990 (with 1989 ending on 2 eps per week for the last 4 weeks)
  22. Liam's House is indeed a great location - it's been found and it's on our 'to photograph' list The Christmas break can vary, but they usually stop mid-December and return mid-late January (could be the 17th or 24th, but impossible to say at the moment).
  23. A few guest cast profiles have gone up in the last few days, courtesy of Red Ranger 1.
  24. You need to go to Options at the top right of any topic and change the Display Mode to 'Standard'
  25. My thoughts exactly - it's sad to think that it's been over a decade since we've actually seen a scene outside the Beach House - as far as I'm aware they've never even shown this current one outside of the odd stock shot, which is silly. If it was the case that they weren't able to use that property anymore, then they should try again now that it has new owners. Mr Harris (location manager), if you're reading this then you'll find the address here - use it!
