  1. I believe its pretty much the same with a few alterations here and there - they stated that they wanted to keep the original form and appearance of the building as much as possible, even using photographs in order to reconstruct some of the details on the canopy.
  2. Given the recent discussions of it, ter06 mirroring my thoughts on the new caravan park, the Summer Bay House location page has had a long needed update - including a view of how the original house looks now after its rebuild.
  3. We've recently completed photography of all the Summer Bay High locations (the ones still standing anyway), along with a reshoot of the correct part of Macquarie Uni, so I'm hoping to get these up on the site in the near future.
  4. 2 locations a couple of years apart, yet a few doors down from each other, have been uploaded to the site over the weekend. And after a very productive day for QA in the Northern Beaches over the weekend - our list of locations that have been photographed and awaiting upload has increased to over 50.
  5. Mistified knew that and was just commenting that it was indeed the same filming location they were using, as opposed to a new one being used. Besides, the post was from a year ago A rather memorable location from 2005/2006 (despite it only appearing in a few episodes) has been uploaded to the site today.
  6. Thank you for acknowledgment More updates today
  7. As Kevin mentioned, the only reason Emily returned to Oz was to care for her mother who is suffering from cancer - she wasn't specifically back there to look for work, but H&A asked if she'd be interested in returning. Instead of sticking her nose up like certain former cast do (naming no names), she agreed to it. Yes what you say is true sometimes, but I don't see it in this case.
  8. Another location up today - the Yabbie Creek Bottle Shop
  9. As ever, more episode updates over the past week, as well as profile updates and a couple more locations.
  10. This location is now up on the site - huge thanks to QA as ever for taking the pics for us a few months back. Still dozens more to come of course as the list is still growing on an almost weekly basis. At the moment we have around 20 new locations, from various eras of the show, already photographed and awaiting upload, and at least 40 in the list to be photographed in the future - as you can appreciate its one of the more time consuming features of the site If there are any locations from over the years that you would be interested in, please do suggest them and we can tell you if we already have them covered, or add them to the 'To Find' list - we have an extremely good success rate
  11. The Google Earth placemark hasn't been updated in a while as the advances of the Google Maps site has made it a bit redundant. All of the locations do have links to Google Maps but at this time I haven't got around to putting them all together on one map - I'll try and get one done in the near future though.
  12. They tried to get Alex Papps back for the farewell but weren't able to do so (he probably wasn't available). They also tried to track down Helena Bozich (Lynn) but weren't able to find her.
  13. Nope, it finishes in a couple of weeks when the identity of the nutter is revealed - around Episode 95
  14. I imagine its an address on an industrial estate just north of Heathrow is it not? That's normal - not sure of the whole logistics behind it but it's an international distribution centre which sorts mail for major contract customers. I imagine its easier (and cheaper) for company mail to be shipped over to the depot in the UK for them to sort out postage costs.
  15. Another location added - the Collins' House
  16. Number of updates recently - 2 new locations over the past week, more updates to 2010 Episodes, and an article providing a sneak peek of the brand new Pier Diner.
  17. Another location added to the site today All the Streetview coding has now been fixed also, and there's different pictures on a couple of the existing locations.
  18. News updated today with a statement regarding the recent news of departures.
  19. That's correct, Mike Perjanik created all of the underscore music from scratch for each episode (apart from the obvious songs from the jukebox etc.). The job has now been passed on to his son Nick. And people will finally see that we're not bonkers when some of us talk about how there was another Stewart sister
  20. Since the show started they have split location filming mainly between the Northern Beaches and various areas around The Hills/Hawkesbury regions. Palm Beach is a rather built up area, as are most of the Northern Beach suburbs, whereas Summer Bay is supposed to be a small semi-rural town. Using some of the country towns from north western Sydney help them to maintain that illusion. Martha's Farm was actually closer to the studios in Epping than Palm Beach was - however they've now moved the studios to Redfern which is a few km's south from the Sydney CBD - whether that will affect any of the locations used will become apparent this year I guess!
  21. Yup that's the one Alexx - there is a link to the Google Aerial image on the site so you could have saved yourself a bit of a search It's been the same image on there for years. The Bing (Microsoft) alternative is even older with the house still standing and some of the caravans just visible - you can see how much bushland the fires wiped out when compared with the other images It'll be very interesting to see how the new house that Seven are building compares when we see it on screen (assuming the build goes ahead as planned) - I know I for one will be pedantically scrutinising the placement of things.....here's hoping they've got plenty of old pictures, or have been watching old episodes to get good reference material! Yeah the new location for Leah's house is an odd one - it is the same location that they had last year when Charlie's car was covered in grafitti, but I was hoping it was a one off. However there's at least 3 new stock shots of that house that I've seen, so I think its safe to say the move is permanent. The shape is completely wrong for Leah's house considering there's rooms off to the right of the hallway as you go through the front door (which doesn't match either now). Incidentally, that door at the back of Leah's lounge heading left....unless we're meant to believe there's another hallway down there, I'm sure its purpose seems to change from bedroom to bathroom every other week....
  22. Its still same church isn't it? No, if you look in the Locations section you'll see that they used the church in Pitt Town up until 2006, then they moved to Wilberforce where we had Kim and Rachel's wedding etc. and all the Rev Hall stuff - and this week they're using a different church in Pitt Town. It does make you wonder why they don't use the original anymore, the view from there really is spectacular and of course its part of the show's history as you say. I imagine there's some boring logistical reason for it, or perhaps the church didn't want them filming there for some reason.
  23. Discussion for the next block of Early Years episodes. Very much of a rarity in today's episode, with us seeing the long forgotten downstairs bedroom in Summer Bay House. Rather powerful moment with Danny hearing Nev playing the last post, his underlying pain being all too obvious. Interesting choice of music for the Anzac Day Service, very relevant song of course (link here for those not familiar) but its certainly something you wouldn't really get nowadays on the show
  24. It is indeed, well spotted This week they use the Scots Church in Pitt Town, which is in fact just across the road from the old location. Incidentally, this seems a good place as any to say it - apologies for some of the Street Views now being wrong on the main site - Google have changed their coding, and whilst its still 'stood' in the same position, it may be rotated to face the wrong direction. I need to go through and change them all at some point. If you go to the St James Church (1988-2006) location streetview (and turn around 180 degrees so you're actually facing the church in the distance...darn Google) you'll in fact see the Scots Church amongst the trees on the left in the middle of the 2 roads.
  25. There is a Charlie/Ruby scene next week where they discuss the Angelo situation over dinner - think it's Monday or Tuesday from memory.
