Yeah that was part of a massive (and very misleading) publicity drive to 'tease' Sally's departure after she'd been stabbed by Rocco in the season finale, with Kate coming out in various press to say she was looking forward to spreading her wings and exploring other opportunities. Her actual departure wasn't announced until September 2007, three months before she wrapped filming.

I think the Zac one backfired on them a tad - the way Leah treated him in those final months, a lot of us ended up siding with Zac and willing him to just sign the divorce papers and be rid!

Well given they were heading "upstairs" when Gary's house is a bungalow, it was probably a roof-top performance. He and Ailsa were foster parents in the 90s. Though, from memory, I think out of all the kids they took in over the years (Blake, Karen, Aaron etc.), Curtis was the only one who was officially 'fostered'

Despite what's been claimed, they've always been provided alongside the episodes for C5 to use if they wish (though they'd have to edit them on themselves). They just chose not to until now. I'm guessing H&Alover is referring to when John first found out Irene was drinking again - she was crying over the broken bottle at the bottom of the stairs.

Irene left for rehab on the same day that Flick later collapsed (though it was an episode apart for us).
