  1. She and her dad were Yugoslavian refugees, and passengers on the seaplane that crashed in the bush (the one that Angel, Dylan and Teresa were on). After the plane and survivors had been found, Michael carried on the search for those two - he found them a short while later but the man had died. Maja stayed with Pip & Michael for a couple of weeks before she was returned to Yugoslavia.
  2. Thanks very much Dan, I was pretty sure it was. Irene needs to mention her grandchildren more often, or recieve visits from them! The baby's name was Mark. Yes I'd since remembered in the 4½ years since I posted that Perry obviously got his answer in the meantime too as he's written a fic featuring him
  3. You must have blinked and missed her, she was in Episodes 413-414 in the 1989 season
  4. Afterglow by Taxiride ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  5. Moved to Character/Actor Discussion (doesn't belong in spoilers)
  6. Have removed the Braxton reference from the thread title for the time being to avoid UK members being spoiled in the main index.
  7. He's happily 'retired' in Tasmania, but yes he does still do a bit of theatre last I heard.
  8. A couple more updates to the credits centre today, with more to come from subsequent years soon, as well as some guest character profiles over the past few days
  9. Though bear in mind it's the last UK episode for 5 weeks tonight - 5556 won't be airing on Channel 5 until 3rd September
  10. Couple of variations but generally it's: Actor's Name c/o Home and Away Seven Network GPO Box 7777 Sydney NSW 2001
  11. 4193, a week before Barry's departure. And I agree, it was a fab scene.
  12. Hmm, I don't actually know offhand what was established on-screen, I guess we'll find out either way soon enough. The synopses are Seven's original ones, indeed I can see the same phrase was used in press listings for the recent 7Two repeat....so if it is wrong then at least we aren't the ones to blame
  13. Yeah it was his first return in 1995 where he was showing signs of forgetfulness (as beau_t said, calling Michael 'Tom' and also calling Shannon 'Sharon') - he'd come to Pip's after being at his sister's as she was suggesting putting him in a retirement village. However when he went to visit one with Pip he found his old army buddy Harry there and so decided to stay. It's Harry who came to Summer Bay with him in 1996, and I seem to remember that it was Harry's wallet that Jack pinched which led to Bert's heart attack
  14. A visual reference to 90's Bert: As a sidenote I absolutely loved his and Isobel's short fling - their first meeting they were having a blazing row after reversing their cars into each other, the next scene they were out to dinner. The above cap was a very amusing scene where both Isobel and Stephanie were being sneaked out of Bert and Liam's bedrooms respectively, only for the 2 couples to meet on the landing.
  15. A few 1989 reference updates over the past couple of days, with 2 guest characters and a location update today (not forgetting some more recent guest characters earlier in the week). Plenty more on the way.
  16. There won't be videos for reasons explained in the announcement at the top of each forum - we already have all the official theme songs available so I'm not sure what more we could do there.... and underscores just isn't a thing that we've done on the site or people have asked us to do. Suggestion noted though.
  17. I know the one you're thinking of but can't for the life of me find the episode on my hard drive that I've seen it in recently - the one with Sally sitting on a patch of grass laughing whilst playing tug-of-war with the dog - I can remember it's a blue shape too..... pretty sure that is 1991. Edit: Looks like we both know the shot well, had this window open whilst looking for the ep so didn't see your reply
  18. We do have one on the site from years ago - the year summaries page got broken during the section's revamp, so the index needs completely rebuilding and integrating into the new system at some point (which is something only the absent Chris has the proper know-how to do), but the direct link to the page is here - http://www.backtothebay.net/episodesarchive/years/1988.shtml
  19. You need to go to your actual profile as opposed to your control panel, there you will see an option to 'Edit Your About Me Page'
  20. I don't think it's still standing, I remember mentioning it in another post and someone replied that it was actually situated just across from the pier diner and is now an empty plot. I think what Ryan's wanting to know is when exactly the building disappeared, we've often wondered whether it was already due for demolition at the time of filming the fire, hence why they could have splashed out a bit on effects without worrying about damage. I've been putting quite a bit of research into trying to find out about the real life building so hopefully we'll know more about it one day. Yup, pretty much answered your own question there Funnily enough Morag's living only a couple of minutes down the road from where her city mansion was in the early years - though you can actually see 'Mangrove River Wharf' from her window
  21. I won't go into the long details again as I did earlier in this thread, but as stated we don't have plans for any further departure features. Thanks for the offer also, but the following sums up the situation regarding members submitting features - not that I'm suggesting anything would be sub-standard, but there certainly would be issues if everyone started doing it. And in regards to the requests for helping with other features/becoming staff members, we thank you all for your enthusiasm but please see this section of our forum guide. We're not currently looking to recruit, but when we do we take a lot of things into consideration and make our own decisions based on those. So please don't spend time writing features which we can't accept, or asking to become a staff member, as it will only lead to disappointment....just relax and enjoy the site and forum! Back on topic and today we have 2 guest character profiles and another early years location added to the site
  22. In addition to Celia's House yesterday, the fourth and final Jones Road location has now been uploaded to the site (that is unless we spot it being used again!). More Early Years locations still to come.
  23. A number more updates over the past week including various character profiles, scene counts and locations.
  24. Not quite sure where the years are going, but as the banner implies, today marks BTTB's 8th birthday. Though whilst 'Back to the Bay' as a site first launched on 14th January 2004, our history stretches back much further - some of our long term members will remember the previous AussieSoap/EverySoap forums and sites - and in fact some of our earliest roots on the web can be traced back 15 years to 1997.
  25. Basically there's a central hallway that goes straight from the front door to a door at the rear of the house - in the interior set it would be where the linen cupboard is.
