Thanks! This is the very first thing I ever wrote... like EVER. Josh's blindness was the whole reason I started writing! And here we are two years down the line, and god knows how many thousands of words later... So, I should probably thank Jackson Gallagher for fuelling my writing obsession! Glad you enjoyed it! I do think the way that hospitals treat patients is a little bit like torture. Hourly obs has to be one of the cruellest things you can do to someone. Sleep deprivation is actually a well known torture technique so I have no idea how anyone ever gets well again!

This is true. It was a pretty awful thing that they did but I'm not sure they did really have a choice. They could have refused but I doubt it would have saved the Greek man. All it would have meant was three of them getting a kicking instead of one. I doubt either of them would be able to rationalize it like that though. Is Kat getting involved ever a good thing?! Haha Thanks Pembie! This really made me laugh! I suppose Brax crying would be a pretty unusual event (although I think he did a couple of times in the show?). He wasn't really much of a crier was he?! lol! And Ricky being annoyed about actually having to look after Casey all day was a little jibe on my part (well spotted! haha!) I'm not sure why I decided to have Ash in his boxers (it wasn't really relevant to the story and I don't have any particular desire to see him in his underpants either! ...so, yeah? ) That's quite funny! I like writing arguments between him and Ricky too. This is a much darker story than I've ever written before, so I can understand that there are probably some bits that go a bit too far. You probably didn't expect a Home and Away Fanfic to be like this? It's darker than I originally intended, although to be fair, my stories are always pretty dark. Writing a story in this way is hard because you can't go back and change things if you change your mind (not really) so you end up going down paths you didn't necessarily intend at the outset. In any case, I'm glad I haven't scared you off! Haha! Thanks for reading! x

Thanks Red, I'm glad you think so! Kyle always had a short temper, but also a very strong set of moral values. I don't think he'd be okay with beating someone to death, no matter what they'd done to him... but he might just lose it completely and do it without meaning to. Yeah, he wouldn't inspire much trust, would he? Yeah, I don't think either of them would deal all that well with how powerless this would make them feel. Thanks for reading guys

Great chapter Suzza! Thought the flashback and the 'what could have been' projections were really interesting. Feel very sad for Kyle, that he had the life that he did, and for the people that he's left behind who know they can't do anything to change that. It would be very hard to know that someone you cared about had been through something so terrible and that you'll never get to talk to them about it. Very sweet (and tragic) that Brax wants to see Kyle, even if he is in ghost form. That he's almost jealous of Heath (and what is essentially a mental breakdown!) Liked the flashback to the date too. Really can't imagine Kyle with Rosie! Looking forward to the next chapter x

Haha! There's that odd taste in women again She is a little stunner, isn't she? I was trying to be as true to character as possible here I can just see him shouting and pointing (and practically beating his chest)! As the techie guy said to himself, Ash really isn't the brightest! I think there's only so far you could push Kyle. He'd lose it eventually, and I think he'd get the upper hand in the fight simply because he'd be fuelled by pure rage. Imagine having to sit down with your rapists for dinner Aw thanks! I wasn't sure how well I'd explained that. Fight scenes are surprisingly hard to write. Never done one before. Is that a request?! Sounds like that's something you'd quite like to see? Who said anything about baby oil?! ...Have I tapped into some sort of Heath based fantasy of yours? Hahaha! You just have to wait and see! Thanks Suzza! Really glad you're enjoying it! I guess I am painting a rather bleak picture here. The world that Josh and Kyle inhabit is a harsh and cruel place. Very cruel! And it's full of truly terrible people. I really hope that prisons aren't as bad as I'm making this one out to be, but I'm not sure that it's actually that far fetched either (sadly). You won't have too long to wait for the next chapter. Should be up in a few hours

Yeah the boys are in quite the pickle... and just when you thought it couldn't get much worse! Yeah, I kinda miss the cute and cuddly version of Dimitri. It feels like such a betrayal, especially now that he's bullying the boys like this. He's quite ruthless when it comes to getting what he wants. Things have gone tits up pretty quickly really. You'll have to wait and see where Heath has ended up. Haha! True! It never ends well, does it?! It was thoughtful of Smithy to order some food. Especially if they're gonna be waiting a while. Ah, spoke too soon, eh? Really enjoyed this ending. I'm picturing the clown from IT in that end scene. Should I be worried about the fate of our beloved Matt?! Liked Matt and Evie's ghost train wedding, and the fact the they had Roo perform the ceremony. Olivia worrying about Hunters stress levels made me laugh. No-one wants him hulking out on the ghost train, now go they! Although I'm not sure I'd trust him to keep my bag safe! What if I came back and found he'd flown into a murderous rage and set it on fire?!

Was that the end? Everybody's chillaxed now?

Fantastic chapter!!! Loved this so much! There's nearly too much to point out. I loved Matt's distress at Phoebe's singing. I get upset too, lol! I see you've played knifey spoony before, lol! VJ and Billie finally realised that this wasn't the best choice of destination for s honeymoon, and Hunter finally conceded that he hates living in a swamp! Matt's safely back in his kangaroo too, and it didn't get cooked. That's a relief! And he's taking it home with him!! Yay!

So, the police didn't charge Ben, despite the fact that there was an eye witness?! Does Ben have connections? Is he friends with Mitch or something? Feel bad for Tess but it's good that Riley's being so supportive.
