Thanks guys! So glad you liked that little scene. I didn't want to overdo it and have him suddenly gushing 'I love yous' but I suppose it was a turning point for them. Just a pity it had to happen so close to Aaron's release date. How do you just let someone go? Yeah, things aren't looking great for poor Josh, are they?! He's having a tough old time of it. Still, at least he's in hospital and not locked in a cell with Cuddles for the time being. Every cloud... Yeah, whether it's a good plan or not remains to be seen. Thanks for reading everyone!

Nice scene with Brody and Evie. I love the way they can actually be friends and it's not just about getting into each other's pants. The show is not good at platonic relationships. Brody is one of the first characters, maybe since Miles, to do that effectively. Love him Wonder what'll happen with Phoebe? Hunter and Olivia were sweet. Wonder what's happened Raffy and Ellie's friends?

Oh wow! great chapter!!! Really enjoyed the scenes with Heath and April. I wasn't expecting to because I've never liked her, but you write her much more sympathetically than the show ever did. Looking forward to more of them! it was very sweet. Pleased for VJ that he got the job, and nice little scene with Irene and Leah. Interesting development with Indi as assistant manager, and I loved the bit about the lifts. Olivia's lucky that Mason's been working out so much, and can carry her about the place, since the Bay is obviously not very wheelchair friendly! (mainly because no-one usually stays in a wheelchair for more than 3 episodes, so what would be the point? ) Looking forward to the next chapter x Oh gosh, I nearly forgot Roo! That is quite the development! 45 and pregnant again?! Can't wait for Alf's reaction when he finds out who the father is!

Ooh, that was very brave of Brody! (and refreshingly honest) I liked that Justin didn't come in with fists flying, and try to defend his 'territory', the way that guys usually do in this show. They talked like civilised people and treated each other with respect. I think that's actually very in character from what I've seen of both these guys on the show. They've had to be each other's everything for years so it makes sense that they would have better than average communication skills when it comes to their little family unit. I'm interested to see what Phoebe decides. Matt and Evie were really cute too Looking forward to the next chapter x

Awww, thanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying it! It's quite a dark story but that tends to be where my mind leads me You'll have seen from the comments that I'm a huge fan of Josh and Kyle (and I really miss them in the show) so I thought if they both have to be in prison, it made sense for them to be together. I only intended it to be a short little 3 or 4 parter, but once I started writing, it took on a life of its own and has expanded out. It'll take a lot more chapters to tell it properly! Thanks KittCatt! Yeah, I think Josh would be on the verge of a breakdown if he hasn't already passed that point I have put him through an awful lot and he's only been there a week! The poor guy! Realising that Alexei had essentially claimed ownership of him would be particularly horrifying, especially combined with a second physical attack like that. He's really not having a good time. Glad you're enjoying the Kyle and Aaron relationship too (Kyron?)They are pretty sweet... You'll have to wait and see how Kyle's plan pans out... And I'm glad you liked that little bit where Aaron took his hand. I wanted Kyle to let his guard down, even if it was just for a moment. Great couple of chapters. liked all the interactions but especially Ash with VJ and Billie. They're very cute It's nice to see everyone arriving and it's a nice build up to the party. Looking forward to the next chapter x

I think Aaron and Kyle would genuinely make a great couple because they have quite different personality traits, but as you say, they complement each other. Kyle has never really had anyone in his life that truly cares about him, and I think he knows that he's found that in Aaron. It's just hard for him to accept real love, especially when he has a family like his. I actually just started thinking about Kyle in the show and how he's going to spend ten years in prison. He won't see Casey until he's nearly a teenager, and considering what a big part he played in his early life, that's just incredibly sad I wanted to explore that. And yes, Alexei can be incredibly threatening, even when he's being 'nice'. I was shuddering at the thought of what Josh is going through (even as I wrote it, lol!) Imagine having to lie there like that?! The poor guy! I might actually have another chapter ready shortly (either tonight or tomorrow night... we'll see.) I'm on a bit of a roll with this one, and I want to write it while I have the inspiration, and the momentum behind me! x

Thanks Suzza! I'm so glad you liked it! I always felt like Brax, and especially Heath, just sort of tossed Kyle aside when they didn't need him to do their dirty work. When Brax came back that time to see Ricky, he wasn't even going to bother saying hello to Kyle. He seemed a little surprised (and amused) that Kyle got so emotional about him still being alive. Heath is back in town now and he's made no mention of Kyle whatsoever. I just feel like he's been chasing them around like a lost puppy for years and they don't really care about him that much. Sure, they wouldn't turn their backs on him, but like he said, 'out of sight, out of mind'. And yeah, Alexei is unbelievably creepy and just a little bit bonkers! Can you imagine being locked in a tiny room with him!? (shudder!) Thanks Kristen Thought I'd explain the sleeping arrangements a little better. I doubt a prison bunk bed would make for a very comfortable night's sleep. Kind of nice to think of them snuggled up there together like a couple of little lovebirds Sharp contrast to Josh's sleeping arrangements! I don't think Kyle would be comfortable sharing that aspect of his life with Brax, and I'm not sure that Brax would be that accepting either (Unless there's something Brax isn't telling us, and that's why Ash is so loyal to him and his family? Bit more to that relationship than meets the eye maybe? Haha!) You'll have to wait and see what plan B is in the next chapter Thanks for reading everyone! x

My goodness! Again, a lot going on in this chapter... but I loved it! So happy for Chris. I never would have put him with Sasha but I'm happy if he's happy, and at least he's getting out of the rut and doing something new. VJ and Billie being friends with Heath and April is interesting. Heath will feel very old! haha! Loved the scene with Roo and Frank and the interaction with Matt and Evie. Very funny! ...And Indi and Brody? I could actually see that working very well! Probably just a bit, because it was the ultimate in 'doing something to make the girl like me' stupidity Now it turns out he should have been trying to impress the boys! haha! Yeah, I always saw Kyle as excessively selfless to the point of ridiculous. He was always getting mixed up in things because he wanted the Braxton boys to love him and count him as one of them. Ricky used him all the time and he let her. Everyone in that family just used him when they needed something and then he'd be left out of the fun stuff all the time and forgotten about. I think getting beaten up to help Josh isn't beyond the realms of possibility for someone like him. 'I love you' to a man might just be something that it's going to take him some time to get his head around. Only problem is, he only has 3 weeks!
