If a character like Irene arrived in 2014 we would not have character development. As soon as a character who was a recovering alcoholic arrived they would get a job in Summer Bay and become a first class citizen!.

Has anyone enjoyed having a break from Pippa?. I have enjoyed having a break from Pippa as in the last year or so I have found Pippa has become so bland and unfazed. So, hopefully when Pippa returns shewill have some life in her and be more upbeat again!.

I think its interesting that Pippa is all ready starting gradually becoming fed up with living in Summer Bay. So I think Pippa is only staying in Summer Bay because of Michael's job and her family!.

No, Pippa said to Fin, you will only be coming back to get your things. I just find it hard imagine Vanessa Pippa ever saying that to one of her foster children. I am just saying I don't think Debra's Pippa is any more mummsy then Vanessa's Pippa. I don't mean to be difficult but I am just saying people always talk about Pippa when she is played by Debra Lawrence as though she is a saint and can never do any wrong. When really she has same flaws as as all other mothers who have been on the show!.

The way Pippa left to go on her break is what they should have done when Pippa was recast to give a break in between Vanessa leaving and Debra taking over. I am personally glad we are having a break from Pippa as for quite a while there she was rather unlikeable. I feel that Pippa seems bored with being a foster mum and I feel that she does not want to live in Summer Bay anymore !. I don't know if I can ever forgive Pippa for the way she threatened to kick Finlay out if she goes out with boys as she is a minor.

Irene is not an original character, as you have to be a regular from the start of the show for that. But she is still an early years character and is now up to 2nd place in most amount of episodes.

The episode I've been waiting for has finally arrived. Lynne really did have the same rough voice that Jackie had!. But now that Lynne is playing Irene, all of a sudden she is liked by everyone, as though Irene was never a villain. Despite the change in credits it still feels like the early years!.
