Extended Summary

Tane finds Cash outside the accomodation. Cash notes he’s getting married today. Tane asks about nerves. Cash says he’s not nervous, it just feels weird. Meanwhile, Abigail comes into Eden’s room and tells her they’ve got millions of things to do. Eden says they’ve got hours to do them in and refuses to do anything until she’s had coffee. At that moment, Debra appears, saying she didn’t want to miss anything.

Mali and Mackenzie are at the breakfast table. Mackenzie answers a call from Levi, who checks on her while Mackenzie asks how everything is there. Levi says he’d rather be with her. Mackenzie says she’s just disappointed to be missing it. As Levi hangs up, John approaches him, wanting to go over the routine since he missed the rehearsal, but Levi tells him not now and he retreats. Jimmy appears and wonders where Mackenzie is. Levi said she couldn’t make it. He checks Jimmy’s okay with him walking Eden down the aisle. Jimmy says he’s just happy to be there.

Cash is getting ready inside the venue with Tane, John and Levi all present. John checks someone has the rings and vows. Gary turns up; Levi goes to find Eden, while Tane ushers John away. Gary tells Cash he couldn’t be happier for him. Meanwhile, Debra looks over Eden’s wedding dress. Eden is glad Levi paid for it and Abigail reminds her she was the one that told him. Debra says she’s proud of both of them.

Leah, Justin, Theo and Remi have arrived. Remi notices Jimmy and Debra standing together and comments on the unlikelihood of it given their ugly divorce. Debra comments that Jimmy didn’t get a plus one on his invite. Jimmy suggests they have a dance together later. Gary appears and Debra enthusiastically greets him. Jimmy introduces himself and Debra belatedly introduces Gary to him. Inside, Levi sees first Abigail and then Eden in their dresses and is impresed with Eden. Remi appears with his guitar, saying Eden can’t walk down the aisle without music and it was Cash’s idea.

Levi leads Eden through the wedding guests to where Cash is waiting, handing her over to him. John speaks up, saying people often think of this day when they think of marriage but it’s also about building a life together and possibly having children and you have to be there in the good times and bad. (As he speaks, at the farm house, a tearful Mackenzie rips pages out of the journal.) He notes that some people couldn’t be there and invites Gary to speak. Gary reflects on how he drove Cash’s father to the hospital in his police car so he could be there at the birth and how pleased his parents were and how Cash was the same when his sister was born.

John invites them to say their vows. Eden talks about first seeing Cash in the crowd at a gig and him not quite fitting in and wanting to get to know him. She says he’s made her feel special in a way no-one else has. Cash says that he’s glad she talked to him and will spend the rest of his life making her feel that way. John pronounces them husband and wife and they kiss.

Mali knocks on Mackenzie’s door and, when she doesn’t answer, goes in and finds the ripped up book. Levi rings. Mackenzie speaks to him about the wedding for a few seconds but, when he asks how she is, hands the phone over to Mali. He says that she’s fine and has just gone to the bathroom and will call back later. Jimmy approaches Levi, asking what’s going on. Levi tells him Mackenzie had a miscarriage. Jimmy convinces him to go and be with her, saying he’ll think of something to tell Eden.

Mali has bagged up the journal ready to be thrown out. Mackenzie apologises for him having to be there. Mali says he chose it. He passes Levi on his way out. Levi and Mackenzie hug. Meanwhile, Cash and Eden are posing for photographs with varying degrees of seriousness. Leah convinces Justin and Theo to come and have a photo, even though Theo is worrying that Lacey didn’t turn up. Cash chats to Tane, noting that Felicity would have loved this. Eden wonders where Levi is, since she’d been hoping to get a photo of him. Cash drags her away.

Cash and Eden stand looking at the sunset. Cash asks if she’s happy and Eden says it’s the best day of her life.
