Extended Summary

John calls for attention from a crowd that includes Leah, Justin, Remi, Tane, Abigail and Gary. Debra wonders where Levi is. John introduces Cash and Eden, who receive a number of greetings from everyone. Debra asks Jimmy about Levi and he quietly tells her about Mackenzie’s miscarriage. Not too far away, Theo is messaging Lacey wondering where she is.

In fact, Lacey is at the beach house with Jo, where Amelia is giving her another session. Jo pictures being in the car and the accident. She remembers someone coming to the car who she asked for help, but he simply checked Kristina’s pulse and then left. Jo comes out of it, shocked that he just left them. She didn’t see his face. Lacey reassures her.

Music is playing at the reception, with John stood next to the DJ eating. Remi comments to Tane on weddings making you feel like a sad loser. Tane joins Cash, Eden and Gary. Abigail reminds Tane that if they’d done speeches, he should have thanked her and told her she looked lovely, to which he obliges. Eden and Abigail join Jimmy and Debra, wondering about Levi. Debra says he had to answer an emergency call at work. Jimmy says Eden’s grandmother would be pleased she was wearing the necklace. Eden is glad they’re all together and they share a hug. Nearby, Remi approaches Theo. They discuss missing playing and Remi asks if Theo wants to be the first artist signed by his label. Theo says he’s in but is going to Tasmania with Lacey tomorrow. He wonders where she is.

Lacey and Jo are alone at the beach house. Jo thinks it was a waste of time, since she didn’t see the person was Wendell. Lacey tells her to get some rest. She goes to call Wendell but gets a call from Theo, which she answers. She says the hypnotherapy took longer than expected and she’s not going to make it. Theo tells Leah and Justin.

Cash and Eden wonder how long it can be before they can slip away. They decide to speed up the first dance. While Cash is talking to John, Remi sits with Eden and says he was wrong when he said she and Cash wouldn’t last. John announces the dance and Cash and Eden take the floor. Jimmy gives Gary a companionable punch on the arm. Debra taps Jimmy on the shoulder and agrees to dance with him. Cash and Eden see them and comment on weddings bringing people together. Justin and Leah also join the dancing. Tane slips away and calls Jo, saying he wishes she was there.

Lacey is back at the Diner flat. She calls Wendell, who answers this time. Still calling herself Georgia, she tells him to meet her at Waratah Drive in two hours.  Meanwhile, Leah and Justin talk to Theo about Lacey needing to support Jo. Eden announces an equal opportunities bouquet throw and gathers all the singles. As Theo is saying Lacey is the one, the bouquet comes near their table and he catches it.

Later, Leah and Justin see John leaving and tell him to say hi to Irene. Cash and Eden note the cake has been cut, the dance danced and the bouquet thrown and decide to slip away. Lacey turns up and Theo shows her the bouquet. Lacey tells him she’s meeting Wendell and wants him to come with her. She walks off and Leah and Justin follow Theo, being filled in. Leah says Theo can’t follow Lacey, while Theo argues they’re dealing with a politician, not a River Boy. Leah wants to talk to Lacey but Theo shouts that it’s his choice. Leah says not to expect her to clean up the mess. Lacey and Theo leave.

Cash carries Eden to the bed. They take a moment to look at their wedding rings, noting that they feel right and this is only the beginning, before softly kissing. Meanwhile, Theo and Lacey pull up at the rendezvous point. Lacey thinks she needs to handle it since David’s been told not to. Lacey says she’s going to tell Wendell she knows about the accident and get him to go to the police. Theo wonders what will happen if he calls her bluff. Lacey says that’s why Theo’s there and to stay out of sight. Elsewhere, Leah and Justin arrive back at the Morgan house. Justin has told Leah what he’s learned from David and decides to call him.

Theo and Lacey discuss the bouquet. Lacey says if Theo asked her she wouldn’t hesitate. They are interrupted by Wendell’s car pulling up. Theo hides as Lacey goes out to meet him, saying she’s Georgia and claiming she witnessed the accident, describing how he caused the other car to swerve, checked on the passenger and left. She demands he go to the police. Wendell says he will but once he gets back in the car, he drives straight at her from behind. Theo dashes out and throws himself at Lacey, knocking them both to the ground as Wendell drives on. Lacey gets up and finds Theo lying where the car drove. She is unable to wake him.
