Extended Summary

Cash is going for a run on the beach while Eden and Abigail are packing away the wedding outfits. Cash runs into Justin and Mali and assures them he’s feeling fine about tomorrow. Abigail is horrified to see Eden drinking coffee around the wedding dress, while practising walking in her bridesmaid shoes. Eden admits to feeling a bit excited. Abigail goes to hug her and Eden has to put the coffee down first.

Levi asks Mackenzie if there’s been any pains or cramps. Mackenzie says she felt uncomfortable earlier. Levi says spotting in early pregnancy is normal but they should get her to the hospital. Mackenzie asks him to tell her everything’s going to be okay. Levi says it is, whatever happens. Mali arrives home and Mackenzie tells him she thinks she’s losing the baby.

At the beach house, David sees Jo in uniform and notes he forgot she was working. Jo suggests he go to the Diner for something to eat. She wonders if Lacey really will back off from Wendell. David thinks she knows what’s at stake. He takes a photo of Wendell’s name in the condolence book but his hand shakes, forcing him to put the phone down.

Cash continues his run and encounters Tane near the surf club. Tane insists that the suits are in the car. Cash has been ignoring the updates from John. Tane tells him that the rehearsal’s at 4pm and Abby’s getting them there for 3pm. They discuss Harper not coming. Back at the Lyrik house, Eden comments on the fact Abigail’s bringing a lot of stuff. Cash arrives and Abigail tries to hurry them up, although Eden points out they won’t do the wedding without them. Abigail gives Cash ten minutes to have a shower. He drags Eden after him and she says to give them fifteen.

Mackenzie and Levi arrive home in a sombre mood. Mackenzie bursts into tears and Levi holds her. At the Diner, Alf chats to Leah about leaving Roo and Martha to have some alone time. David turns up and gives his order to Marilyn. Alf tells him that Roo’s visit to Cohen went well and things have worked out for the best. Leah comments on David losing his best worker while Cash is on honeymoon. David flatly says they’ll cope. He leaves as Justin arrives, with the others wondering what’s wrong with him.

Abigail tries knocking on the bathroom door for Cash and Eden. Tane turns up and declines to get them out. Abigail asks about his speech and he says he and Cash decided they’re not having them. Abigail also checks he’ll be okay to dance with her. Cash and Eden emerge clad in towels and robe. Abigail asks what they were doing, then regrets the question and sends them to get dressed. Mack and Levi are meeting them there.

Justin finds David outside the surf club. David says he found out the person who he thinks killed Kristina came to her funeral, watching him and his family grieve and shaking his hand. He asks what sort of person leaves someone to die and then comes to their funeral and says it’s taking every effort for him not to go round there.

Marilyn tries to get Leah to promise to take as many photos as possible, especially of Eden’s outfit. Alf tries to object but Leah is happy to. Marilyn suggests it’ll be Theo and Lacey getting married next. Justin arrives and tells Leah that David’s not doing very well. He thinks they should support him and also that Leah should cook something.

Levi gets a text from Eden saying she’ll see him there. Mackenzie remembers the wedding and is horrified to realise how many people know about the pregnancy, saying she can’t face them. Levi says he’ll text Eden and say they can’t make it. Mackenzie thinks he should go but Levi says he’s not leaving her.

The two vehicles carrying Cash, Eden, Abigail and Tane pull up outside the wedding venue. They admire how it looks and predict that John is bullying the staff somewhere. Tane convinces Abigail to help him unload the car. At the beach house, David receives a visit from Leah and Justin with spare lasagne. He invites them to stay and eat. Justin quietly tells him that he’s told Leah he’s having problems but not gone into specifics. They discuss Theo planning to take Lacey away. David says he’s a good young man and brave.

Mackenzie is lying on the bed. She sees a text from John about the rehearsal and tries to convince Levi to go. Levi doesn’t want to leave her alone. Mali sticks his head round the door and offers to stay with her, saying Abigail won’t notice he isn’t there…or will kill him. Mackenzie convinces Levi to go. Later, Mali checks in on Mackenzie, who says she just wants to rest. Mali says he’ll be on the sofa. Mackenzie takes the journal down and looks at the note she wrote for the baby, saying how much she was looking forward to being a family.

Cash walks Eden back to her cabin, noting they have to stick to the tradition of not seeing each other on the morning of the wedding. They’ve heard that Levi is on his way but Mackenzie’s too ill to come. Eden suggests Cash comes in until 11.59pm but he says if he comes in he’s not leaving. He makes to go. Eden calls him back and makes him say “Good night, fiancé” one last time before going.
