Episode 8233

Extended Summary

Cash is on the phone trying to get hold of Stevie. Eden says she’s called Remi a couple of times and Felicity comes back in to say Stevie’s not outside. Cash asks Eden to go and talk to Remi in person and Felicity to stay there in case Stevie comes back….then his mood turns to frustration as the photo of Stevie and Remi comes up on his alerts. Eden confirms they’re in Remi’s bedroom.

Across the road, Stevie is lying on the bed and tells Remi that everyone on the socials is asking who her new man is. Remi says to tell them she’s busy, apparently ready to get down to business again…until they’re interrupted by Cash yelling out for her. He and Eden wait outside the bedroom as Stevie quickly removes the shirt and changes back into her dress. Cash escorts Stevie away and Eden pauses to express exasperation at Remi.

At Salt, Bree and Xander make arrangements to go surfing the following morning, Felicity comes in and freezes a bit at the sight of Bree, who quickly leaves. Felicity tells Xander there’s been trouble with Cash’s client. Xander dreams of having Stevie there and says he follows her online. Felicity hopes that Bree doesn’t.

At the house, Cash tries to berate Stevie for breaking the rules and Stevie tries to blame him for not helping with her audition. Cash says she’s not supposed to do anything that could give away her location and he thought the stalker had her. Stevie pauses for a moment before saying he should respect her boundaries.

Leah and Irene are serving at the Diner. Justin gets a call from John and moves out of earshot to take it. Leah complains to Irene, despite acknowledging it was her idea. She slopes closer to Justin, who quickly sees her and ends the call. Leah asks him to give her something but he just says the wedding’s going to be awesome. Meanwhile, on the veranda, Valerie ends a phone call and tells Theo that Morrison wants the money up front. Theo says they’ve blown it all and Valerie wonders if there’s a way to get more.

Felicity has shown Xander the photo of Stevie and Remi. Xander ponders whether to tell Bree or hope she doesn’t see it. Felicity says she’ll find out sooner or later and it’s better coming from a friend. Next morning, Bree runs into Xander near the beach and is surprised that he’s not joining her for a surf. Xander shows her the photo but Bree insists she’s fine with it.

Remi approaches Eden outside the Lyrik house and complains about Cash acting like an angry dad. Eden asks if he knows why Stevie’s there before saying he’ll have to ask her. She also wonders if he’s thought about how Bree will feel about it when she sees the photo, saying it’s not cool. Across the road, Cash complains to Felicity about worrying Stevie will do a runner. Stevie appears and takes Cash’s coffee. Cash heads in the shower, telling Felicity to not take her eyes off Stevie. Felicity tells Stevie to either let Cash do her job or fire him, before leaving her alone.

Xander meets Bree when she comes back from her surf and asks her if she wants breakfast. Bree insists she’s not going to fall apart over the photo. Felicity approaches Xander as Bree walks away and asks how she took it. Xander says she said she was fine but he doesn’t believe her. Back at the house, Stevie tells Cash what Felicity said. Cash jokes that he’s fired then. Stevie apologises for worrying him. Remi knocks at the door and asks to see Stevie. He returns her tripod and asks her to take down the photo. Stevie agrees. After Remi’s gone, Cash asks Stevie why she uses social media. Stevie says it helps keep her in work but also gives her a connection to the outside world when her world seems to be getting smaller.

Leah brings Irene some supplies at the coffee cart. Justin, Theo and Valerie are chatting at a table nearby and complains that they’re enjoying doing wedding planning in front of her. Irene says they expected her to be at the Diner with Marilyn. Leah says the only person she knows is coming is VJ and the only thing she has control over is her dress. Irene comments on VJ walking her down the aisle and Leah says she doesn’t even know if there is an aisle. At the table, Justin tells Theo it’s an outside event so to let him know if they need any equipment. Exchanging a look with Valerie, Theo asks about Lyrik’s fee and Justin says it’s budgeted.

Later, Theo and Valerie walk through a park. Valerie thinks they should go clubbing after she’s called Morrison. Theo suddenly remembers that Justin usually pays the band online through Remi. He calls Justin and says the band don’t want a fee but he has been offered a cash deal for some equipment they need.

Cash brings Stevie a glass of wine. He tells her everything they’ve got has been handed over to the police but they don’t consider it a priority so the security company’s own IT guys are left to deal with it. He offers to put her up in a hotel again but Stevie says she feels safe there. Cash offers her a compromise: He’ll help her with her audition.

At Salt, Bree orders a drink from Xander and Felicity but declines an offer to stay and eat, instead suggesting she and Xander watch a movie after he finishes work. She insists she’s fine about the photo. Remi and Eden come in and Remi and Bree make polite small talk, with her asking about his physio, before Bree leaves. Eden assumes she hasn’t seen the photo.

At the Diner, Justin gives Theo and Valerie the money. Theo assures him the band don’t need anything else. Theo and Valerie both look a bit uncomfortable but eventually Theo tells Valerie to call her guy. Meanwhile, Xander finds Bree near the beach. She comments on the fact that she and Remi haven’t slept together since his accident and he took the first opportunity. She thinks he’s fine and she’s still broken. Xander hugs her.

Theo and Valerie are waiting out in the bush. Valerie says they’ll have the best time soon. Theo isn’t happy about stealing from Justin but Valerie says Lyrik have already said they don’t want a fee so no-one gets hurt. Morrison appears and asks if they have the money. After a moment’s hesitation, Theo hands over the envelope and Morrison starts counting it.
