Extended Summary

Cash and Felicity are walking near the beach. Cash wonders if Felicity has plans for later, suggesting they meet Eden and celebrate now they’ve been given permission to take over the lease on the house. Felicity only responds in a distracted manner, her attention focused on Harper training with Tane nearby. Tane calls a break and Harper discusses how she’s getting on with her new job. She notices Felicity staring at her. Felicity eventually looks away and tells Cash it was nothing.

Levi and Remi are walking on the beach. Remi tries to claim he’s neutral but Levi thinks he’s on Eden’s side. Remi says he doesn’t always agree with her but also that she thinks Levi made his choice. Levi says he was just trying to support their dad and asks Remi to help him talk to her, saying he misses her. Eden immediately rejects the idea when Remi puts it to her at the Newman house. Remi suggests she and Levi need to hash it out but Eden calls him a traitor and tells him to leave when Cash gets home. Eden blames it on Levi. Cash hasn’t spoken to her about it recently and she tells him not to start now.

At the hospital, Xander tries to talk Mackenzie out of leaving and Levi does the same when he turns up. Levi insists Mackenzie’s not well enough. Mackenzie says being there is feeding her anxieties and he can’t force her to stay. Xander agrees. Levi takes Xander out into the corridor for a chat, asking him where he got his medical degree from and blaming him for putting the idea in Mackenzie’s head. Xander thinks she might be right about it helping her and says he’ll make sure someone’s with her at all times. Levi says it’s the least he can do. Xander tries to argue that it’s Mackenzie’s decision but Levi still blames him.

Harper and Tane walk towards the surf club with her saying she’ll have to get back to him about her next session once her roster’s sorted. Tane suggests they go up to Salt for a coffee but Harper doesn’t think that’s a good idea. Tane realises it’s because she’s avoiding Felicity and admits he’s doing the same, suggesting they get a coffee somewhere else. Meanwhile, Xander takes Mackenzie home. She notes Tane and Mali have cleaned the place and insists on getting her tea herself, saying that’s why she came home. However, she still seems nervous.

Cash goes to see Eden at the Lyrik house. She still refuses to consider seeing Levi and thinks Remi has turned on her. Cash says Remi is just trying to help and irritably suggests she should just add Remi and everyone else to her list of grudges. Meanwhile, Tane and Harper are at the coffee cart. Tane points out coming here isn’t going to help her get a drink, pizza or live music. Cash comes along and Tane apologises for not telling him about the lease. Cash tells him they’ve taken it over. Tane gets a text from Xander about Mackenzie being home and heads off. Cash asks Harper what’s going on with Felicity.

Mackenzie nervously checks her phone is charging and wonders if she should have got Levi’s number. Xander says someone will call the hospital if they need to. Mackenzie wonders when she’ll get her confidence back and Xander reminds her she stood up for herself at the hospital. Tane turns up and welcomes Mackenzie home. Mackenzie goes to lie down. Xander admits to Tane that she’s anxious and Levi wanted her to stay in hospital. Meanwhile, Cash approaches Felicity at Salt and tells her she needs to apologise to Harper. Felicity says Harper gave as good as she got: She doesn’t feel good about what happened but it’s done. Cash insists it’s the right thing to do. Felicity walks off into the kitchen.

Remi meets up with Eden on the beach. She apologises for going off at him and says he surprised her. Remi says they don’t always have the same opinion and Eden jokes that hers is always right. Remi says he’ll ignore Levi if she wants and Eden says he doesn’t have to. Remi draws her attention to Levi walking near the sea. Levi notices them and Remi tells Eden he said he missed her.

Cash and Felicity are walking towards home. Felicity is convinced Harper is after Tane. Cash doesn’t think Harper would do that and says it’s none of her business anyway. Felicity accuses him of judging her for not giving up on her marriage and storms off into the house. Remi has come past during the argument and asks Cash what’s going on.

Levi thanks Eden for talking to him. Eden says Remi convinced her to go over and wonders what he thinks is going to happen. Levi says running into her has brought up a lot and he should have asked their mother for her address. Eden says he’s a stranger to her since he left with their father and she’s made her peace with that. Levi says he tried and Remi has his number if she wants it. He walks away; Eden looks for a moment as if she wants to call after him.

At Salt, Remi gets Cash a drink and notes it’s thanks to Cash that Eden’s talking to him again. Cash comments on dealing with both her and Felicity’s changeable moods and asks to have the drink in peace. Meanwhile, Mackenzie rejoins Xander and Tane and admits she just stared at the ceiling. Xander checks it’s okay for him to leave and says to call him if she needs to. Tane brings Mackenzie some lunch but she admits she’s not hungry and thought she’d feel better being at home.

Eden and Felicity are sat round the back of the Lyrik house. Eden says Cash shouldn’t have interfered with Harper and Felicity sarcastically suggests apologising that Harper’s after her husband. Remi comes in as Eden says Cash pushed her to talk to Levi and it was a disaster. They drink a toast to Cash being wrong. Remi tells them Cash is trying to help them both and wonders if they care about him. Later, Eden brings some more drink out but Felicity is no longer in the mood. They accept that Remi has a point and wish Cash would stop worrying about them, concluding he’ll keep trying to fix them until they actually are okay.

Tane sets everything up for him and Mackenzie to have a Fast and Furious movie marathon. Mackenzie tearfully admits nothing has changed and worries she’ll be scared forever. Tane tries to tell her everything’s going to be okay and says he’ll look after her.
