Leah snaps. Alf gets the truth from Roo and Marilyn. Can Kirby and Remi outsmart Forrest?
Extended Summary
Theo and Kirby have just finished a surf on the beach and are joined by Cash, Eden and Remi. Cash asks about Justin; Theo hasn’t spoken to Leah today. Eden wants to sort out rehearsals for the band, despite Remi pointing out there’s nothing to rehearse for. Theo agrees to go back with them. Meanwhile, Alf continues to question Roo and Marilyn, who eventually admit Marilyn wasn’t living there. Marilyn says it was her idea because she was making Roo uncomfortable. Alf starts to have a go at her for leaving Roo on her own. Roo intervenes, saying it was her idea.
Bree checks on Leah by Justin’s bedside. She asks if she wants her to call anyone. Leah maintains she doesn’t want anyone told, eventually saying she’ll call Theo later. Meanwhile, Cash, Eden, Remi, Theo and Kirby have all decamped to the Lyrik house. Eden suggests they decide on some days for rehearsals and is met by a thudding silence. Kirby wonders if she should call Forrest again. Theo decides he needs to go to the hospital and Cash says he’ll give him a lift. Eden and Remi try to reassure Kirby. Eden half-seriously suggests camping outside Forrest’s house but Kirby says she’s sabotaged everything they’ve worked for.
Theo and Cash arrive at the hospital. Bree asks if Leah called them, then takes Theo aside for a private chat. Later, Theo goes in to see Leah, explaining he decided to visit and confirming that he’s spoken to Bree. Leah admits she didn’t want to say the words out loud. Theo pulls up a chair and sits down next to her. Leah tells him about asking Justin to marry her. Theo says he’s looking forward to the wedding.
At the Diner, Eden remarks to Remi that him saying there’s no point isn’t helping things. Remi says that there is no point: Kirby signed a contract with Forrest and there’s no getting out of it. Back at the Stewart house, Roo explains to Alf that she didn’t want to worry him and wanted him to have a nice time away. She also jokingly suggests she go to her room. Alf sends Marilyn off to work, before explaining to Roo that he’s worried that she was there on her own.
Bree sees Cash sitting in the corridor. He mentions that he’s been hanging out with Lyrik and Bree wonders how they are. Cash realises she’s actually asking how Remi is. Meanwhile, Remi and Eden are walking. They see Bree in the distance and Remi admits he hasn’t spoken to her since she moved out. He declines to go and talk to her, instead saying they need to fight with Kirby. Eden agrees but doesn’t understand what he means. Even though Bree notices him, Remi drags Eden away.
Remi and Eden rejoin Kirby and tell her she’s not on her own. Remi points to the post Kirby made on their socials and how people are celebrating their reunion. He suggests using it to their advantage. At that moment, Cash arrives with news of Justin. In Justin’s room, Theo sets up some music in the hope he can hear them. He suggests they should call his family and Ava, and that they might help. Leah retorts that a room full of people isn’t going to help.
Remi, Eden and Kirby are all despondent at the news. Cash and Eden go for a walk. Kirby asks Remi to explain his plan, saying she needs a distraction. Remi says they should post an announcement on the socials that they’re having a relaunch gig on Saturday. Forrest will have to react to it and they’ll blame him if he tries to cancel the gig. Meanwhile, Bree finds Theo out in the corridor and he tells her he’s giving Leah space and trying not to say the wrong thing. Bree tells him that it isn’t easy on either of them. Leah comes out and apologises to Theo, who repeats Bree’s comment about it not being easy.
Roo thanks Alf for dinner and says she’s sorry about what happened with Marilyn. Alf appreciates her wanting him to have a nice time. Roo goes to bed, shortly before Marilyn comes home. She says she didn’t want to lie to him. Alf reminds her she tried to cover for Roo and take the blame, saying no more lies.
Kirby tells Remi that it’s worked: Forrest has agreed to meet with her to go over her contract. Remi offers to go with her but Kirby feels she should deal with it herself. Next morning, Kirby meets Forrest at the coffee cart. He wonders what she’s playing at and she tells him she wants to discuss her contract.
At the hospital, Bree tells Leah and Theo that there’s no change and the medication isn’t working. Leah agrees to go and get a cup of coffee and a wash. She encounters Alf as he arrives and breaks down in tears in his arms.
