Extended Summary

Theo, Kirby, Eden, Remi and Mercedes all come down off the stage together, in a good mood after the performance. Remi and Mercedes share a hug while Kirby congratulates Theo. Bree appears and looks unhappy to see Remi and Mercedes still hugging, before giving him a hug herself. Mercedes congratulates Theo on not throwing up and Theo congratulates Kirby on the new song, Secrets. Theo prepares to take a selfie of them. Bree goes to step out of the way but Eden says she’s part of it now. Mercedes wonders what happened to Felicity. Bree says she went to get some water but should be back by now. Eden recalls she said she might leave to meet Tane. Theo takes the photo. Meanwhile, Tane is at home on his own. He tries to call Felicity but she is still unconscious, the phone lying next to her.

Lyrik have relocated to the crowd as the next band perform to a mixed reaction. Eden thinks they’re good but Mercedes calls them amateurs. Theo and Kirby wonder about the judges, who no-one was actually looking at. Bree asks Remi about the way he started singing and he says Mercedes is hard to say no to. Eden gets a call from Tane and leaves the table to answer it. She doesn’t think Felicity not answering her phone at a gig is unusual and tries to call her. There is again no answer, but Felicity is waking up next to it, obviously feeling very ill. She sits up and realises she’s in a disarray, a look of horror crossing her face as she realises what has happened.

The announcer, Sylvie, gets the results. The two judges’ choices are the Bogus Jarheads and Palms, while the audience vote has gone to Lyrik. The group all loudly celebrate as Sylvie announces the final starts in half an hour. Felicity suddenly staggers into view. Eden notices something’s wrong, just before Felicity collapses into her arms.

A short time later, Eden and Bree are looking after Felicity in the van while the others wait outside. Felicity tries to cover herself up and Eden asks Bree to say this isn’t what it looks like. Bree says they have to get her to hospital. Eden tells the others she can’t leave her and helps cover Felicity up. Kirby tells the others they can’t play the final. Theo, Remi and Mercedes all agree. Going back inside, Remi tells an unimpressed Sylvie that they can’t play, explaining to Kirby and the others that he just said it was personal reasons. He said they’d better catch the creep who did it. Looking around the full hall, Kirby wonders how you’d even start. The group leave.

At the hospital, Felicity is in a private room with Bree and Eden. She says she only had two or three drinks: She remembers being with Bree and going to get water, then nothing until she woke up in the room. She wonders if her drink was spiked and Bree says the test will show that. She asks if Felicity thinks she’s been sexually assaulted and Felicity nods. Eden asks if they should call the police but Felicity says no. Bree suggests she has a forensic examination in case. Felicity agrees but insists that Bree, who’s been trained, does it.

Tane is at the surf club and leaves Felicity a phone message saying the gym worked fine without him and wondering if she’ll be home for dinner. Kirby, Remi, Mercedes and Theo all arrive back at the Lyrik house. Kirby says this happens more than you’d think and women she’s worked with and friends all get warned to be careful. Theo comforts her. Mercedes wonders if they should have heard something and Kirby wonders if Tane knows. Remi volunteers to go talk to him.

With Eden in the room, Bree carries out the examination on Felicity, getting her to take off her clothes to be placed in evidence bags and change into a gown, then checking her over and taking samples. She checks Felicity doesn’t need a break before proceeding with the internal examination. With everything done, Felicity holds out a hand to Eden who hugs her. Meanwhile, Tane is making a meal when Remi turns up. Tane assumes him not being on stage means Lyrik didn’t make the final. He asks after Felicity and Remi has to tell him that something’s happened.

Remi and Tane arrive at the hospital. Tane asks a receptionist about Felicity. Bree steps in. Tane says he wants to see her but Bree convinces him to wait since Felicity isn’t ready to see anyone yet. She confirms her drink was spiked. Tane can’t bring himself to ask the next part and just asks if she’s all right. Bree says she’s fine physically. Tane sits on his own. Bree laments to Remi that she was right there and didn’t notice anything.

Kirby, Theo and Mercedes have gone for a walk by the beach for some fresh air. Trying to raise spirits, Mercedes says everyone loved Kirby’s new song. Kirby gives Theo credit for supporting her when she wrote it. Theo goes to see Justin. Mercedes asks Kirby to help her pack, since Felicity and Tane will need space. Kirby suggests she stay with them. Mercedes doesn’t think Tane would like that but Kirby thinks they should be together.

Bree brings Felicity some clothes to change into and a pamphlet, which she puts aside with only a brief glance. Felicity asks if she can go. Bree says Tane’s outside when she’s ready and the counsellor will be in touch. Felicity thanks her. After she’s gone, Eden says the police will catch who did it, then backs off and says it’s up to Felicity if she reports it. Felicity tells Eden to promise not to tell Cash. Eden reluctantly agrees. They exit the room and are met by Tane. He goes to hug Felicity but she holds up her hands to stop him, before saying to take her home.

Tane leads Felicity and Eden into the Parata house: The table is set for a romantic dinner. Felicity says she wants a shower. After she’s gone, Eden offers to stay a while. Tane says he can’t believe this and asks why Eden let this happen. Eden says she already hates herself. Tane lapses into tense silence.
