Extended Summary

Theo and Kirby are walking outside the surf club and make plans to stay in and watch a movie that evening. They see Justin ahead and Kirby quietly assures Theo that Ava isn’t with him. Justin checks with Theo that things are going okay at Kirby’s and apologises for how tense things got at the band meeting. Theo mentions work and Justin says he’ll call him if he needs any help. He adds that Theo can come over to dinner whenever he wants.

At the Diner, Leah complains to Roo about how nothing’s changed and Ava still has Justin wrapped around her finger. She notes that at least Ava’s schoolwork is going okay thanks to Roo. Roo admits that Ava only really concentrates on her phone and says she’s trying to avoid personal questions. Leah is disappointed that Theo hasn’t come home at all since moving out.

Cash comments to Eden that he doesn’t even feel that bad about taking time off work. He asks if she’s worried about Remi. Eden thinks she should have stopped him and worries that he’ll spiral. Cash says that it might help him not to have to keep running into Bree all the time and he’s got Eden otherwise. Cash suggests spending time at hers while Remi is away to give Tane and Felicity some space, adding Felicity has said she’ll take things slow.

Back at the beach, Felicity has stood up and she and Tane are discussing her proposal. Tane points out that Felicity was never that keen on marriage. Felicity says she was worried she’d screw up and run away. They agree that they hate the idea of living without each other. Tane takes the engagement ring and puts it on Felicity’s finger; she leaps into his arms.

Leah acknowledges that Justin wants everyone to be happy but thinks things can’t go on. Theo comes in for some cake. Leah asks to talk to him first, while Roo goes to the bait shop. Even though she admits it’s not clear how long Ava’s staying for, she tries to convince him to move back in. Back at the Lyrik house, Cash and Eden check with Kirby about him staying. They discuss Felicity and Tane’s return and Remi heading down the coast after splitting from Bree. Theo arrives and Cash and Eden make themselves scarce. He tells Kirby about what Leah said. Kirby points out that nothing has changed.

Justin turns up at the Diner and Roo leaves him and Leah alone. Leah says she didn’t want to talk in front of Ava and takes Justin into the kitchen. He mentions meeting Theo but doesn’t think him staying away is a big deal. Leah asks about Ava, saying Roo says she’s still not doing schoolwork. Justin thinks Roo’s spying again and she thinks Ava’s a brat. Leah says that’s Justin’s words, which prompts Justin to walk out. Later, Leah joins him in their bedroom and asks how long Ava’s staying for. Justin reminds her that she didn’t like it when he spoke about Theo like this. Leah says Justin was right about Theo hiding something. Justin insists that Ava isn’t like Theo.

At Salt, Tane finishes a phone call with Nikau and tells Felicity he wondered when the wedding is. Cash and Eden come in and Felicity makes a show of waving her ring and a champagne bottle about. Eden notices, with Cash joining in a moment later. They congratulate them. Later, Felicity thanks them for organising the perfect wedding, which they’ll now have to do again. Cash notes he and Eden get on better now and Eden wonders if they’re going back to the same place. Felicity doesn’t want any reminders so Tane says they’ll start fresh.

Tane and Felicity arrive home. Felicity wants to get organised and says she doesn’t care about suits, dresses, music or flowers, she just wants him. Tane agrees. Across the road, Cash and Eden arrive back and tell Kirby and Theo about the engagement being back on. Eden sits with the couple, who offer a doco on 90s hip-hop or Savage band’s latest gig, Cash looks unethused and heads to bed. Kirby gives Eden permission to go with him.

Next morning, Tane and Felicity have set up a reception by the pool as Cash and Eden arrive. They explain they need the pair to organise a wedding as quickly as possible: Whenever they can get it done, that’s when they’ll get married. At the Diner, Leah complains to Roo about the lack of response from Justin. Kirby turns up and Leah asks her opinion of Ava. They tell Roo about how Theo was being pestered by Ava online and they didn’t know it was her until after she’d moved in.

Cash and Eden head back to the Lyrik house. They discuss the wedding arrangements but Cash can see that Eden is worried about Remi, especially when she gets a text from him. He encourages her to go after him. Justin turns up to see Theo and tries to convince him to move back in for Leah’s sake. At the surf club, Tane notices Roo waiting and tells her the gym scheduled has changed. She looks at Ava’s online account and sees the photos of her in Theo’s room.

Roo goes to see Leah at the coffee cart and says there’s something she needs to see. She shows her the account. Leah is shocked by the photos. Meanwhile, Kirby is with Theo outside Lyrik house. He is worried about causing trouble between Leah and Justin. Kirby realises he is considering moving back in and says she’ll support whatever he decides. However, she reminds him he felt uncomfortable there. Theo thinks he should get over it.

Leah worries that Theo won’t come home if he knows about the photos and notices Ava refers to Theo as her boyfriend in the caption. Roo encourages her to show Justin the photos.
