Extended Summary

Mackenzie brings drinks out to Dean, Ziggy, Felicity and Tane to celebrate Ziggy’s pregnancy and Felicity and Tane’s engagement. Ziggy says Nikau showed her the proposal video and Felicity confirms she was surprised. Mackenzie proposes a toast to gorgeous babies, a fabulous auntie and all the love in the room. Downstairs, Bree joins Jacob but he tells her he ran into her boyfriend and a lady with him had a go at him. Bree tries to brush it off and convince Jacob to go upstairs for dinner but Jacob says he’s not in the mood and is going back to the motel.

Eden and Remi arrive home. Remi reminds her that he told her Jacob was dangerous and worries he’ll take things out on Bree. Eden says she was sticking up for Remi. She wonders why Bree stays with him. Remi says she loves him and he paid for her to go to medical school. Eden says it’s not love but Stockholm Syndrome. Remi wishes he could do something.

Tane finishes off a drink. Dean and Ziggy wonder when the wedding is going to happen. Ziggy hopes it’ll be after she’s had the baby and they all discuss the miracle and pain of childbirth. Ziggy brings up the wedding again; Dean suggests going to Vegas and Mackenzie says they should get married in Summer Bay. Felicity quickly excuses herself and Mackenzie follows her to the bar. Felicity admits to being a bit overwhelmed by all the wedding chat. Tane comes over and Felicity resolves to take him home.

Tane and Felicity arrive back at the Parata house where Tane agrees they can talk about the wedding later. Felicity gives him a drink of water as Tane wonders if the wedding stuff will take over, before Felicity sends him off to bed. Tane quips that they’re not even married yet and she’s already telling him what to do.

Next morning, Tane runs into Ziggy outside the surf club and hopes that Dean is feeling as bad as him. Ziggy confirms Dean needed a strong coffee. Tane thanks her for celebrating with him, and Ziggy wonders how he and Dean became besties. She says she’s happy that he’s getting the marriage and family he wanted and he says things have worked out for both of them.

Bree turns up at Remi’s place and says he needs to stop because he’s making things worse for her. Eden tries to excuse herself but Bree tells them both to stay away from her and Jacob. She insists he’s not a bad man, but as she turns to go, she winces in pain. Remi asks what Jacob did to her but she insists nothing, although she continues to move stiffly as she leaves.

Bree runs into Dean and Ziggy on the beach. They ask why she’s not in the water and tell her about the pregnancy. Bree suggests they do birthing classes, saying she’ll send them contact details. Jacob arrives and Bree introduces them all. Jacob recalls meeting Dean at the surf shop, saying he was looking for a present for Bree, and says they’ve talked about having children as well. He and Bree head off for lunch.

Eden finds Remi strumming his guitar and says they can’t do anything if Bree wants them to stay out of it. Remi is convinced that Jacob has hurt Bree again. Eden offers to be there if he needs someone to talk to. Remi asks if she’s heard from Cash and she shakes her head before insisting they go out.

Mackenzie and Felicity are working in Salt. Mackenzie asks if Felicity spoke to Tane and Felicity says he wasn’t in a talking mood. Tane turns up, having got someone else to do a boot camp, and suggests he and Felicity talk about setting a date, since his family will need notice. Felicity claims that someone’s called in sick and she needs to sort out a supplier.

Eden and Remi walk towards the surf club but Remi points out Bree and Jacob together on the balcony. Eden says they look happy and Remi notes they do in public. He suggests they walk away rather than get caught staring. Eden reminds him that he said Bree loves Jacob and says the best thing he can do is let her know she’s got a safe space with him.

Downstairs in the surf club, Dean wonders if Bree sent them the right links. Ziggy clicks on one and they find themselves watching a rather graphic video of childbirth with mounting horror. Ziggy says it’s the miracle of life and Dean says the only miracle is that people do it more than once. Later, the two of them are going for a walk on the beach. Dean says if blokes had to do that, there’d be less people around. Ziggy admits that, after viewing it, she’s not sure if she wants Dean in the room with her since she’s not sure she wants him to see her like that. She wonders if he’ll still want her afterwards and Dean assures her he’ll still find her hot when they’re eighty.

Mackenzie and Felicity are sorting through rosters. Mackenzie suggests she sort thing outs with Tane but Felicity says not to pressure her. Eden comes in and nervously orders a coffee. Felicity leads her to the bar and Eden wonders if Felicity’s going to throw hot coffee at her. Felicity apologises for ripping into her and Cash, and Eden apologises for going behind her back before saying she and Cash are done. Meanwhile, Remi finds Bree at the hospital and convinces her to give him one minute. He asks if Jacob hurt her again but Bree doesn’t answer. He says he knows her marriage is none of his business but if she needs somewhere safe, then she can come to him. He walks away and Bree looks affected by the offer.

Mackenzie and Felicity are checking over a delivery outside the surf club. Mackenzie says they delivered the red this time since Felicity bit the delivery driver’s head off last time. Mackenzie saw Felicity can go since she can deal with it. However, when Tane arrives, Felicity says there’s a problem with the order and she needs to help out. Mackenzie backs her up but Tane looks suspicious.

Upstairs in Salt, Mackenzie says she’s not happy with lying to Felicity’s fiance, while Felicity is not happy with hearing him called that. Mackenzie warns her that Tane already thinks something’s up and tells her she has time to get everything organised. Felicity accepts the argument.

Felicity goes home and tries to interest Tane in sharing a hot shower or bath. Tane asks her why she can’t get away from him fast enough when he brings up the wedding.
