Extended Summary

Remi is busking outside the surf club. Watching from a distance, Theo says he sounds good but Kirby says he sounds sad. They go over and Kirby asks Remi if he and Eden have made things up, reminding him they’re meant to be recording their music video at the lighthouse today. Remi says it was Eden that refused to be in the room with him when they recorded their tracks: He’ll be there but he can’t speak for her.

Theo and Kirby head back to the Lyrik house where they offer Eden pancakes. They remind her about the video and tell her what Remi said. Kirby senses Eden wants to talk and indicates for Theo to go: He says he’ll check with Justin. Kirby asks Eden about Remi and Eden admits it’s really about her feelings for Cash.

Alf complains about Roo putting butter and jam on his toast for him. Marilyn turns up with a cup of tea for him. Alf is initially annoyed but he accepts it. He checks Marilyn wasn’t upset by him telling her she should have told them about Heather, then convinces her and Roo to leave him. At the Morgan house, Justin and Leah have filled Theo in on what happened. Justin says there wasn’t time to call him before and tcan’t go to the shoot since he needs to look after Leah, despite them saying she’s all right now. Theo says a friend of Kirby’s is doing it for mates right but is a professional. Justin says to send him the invoice.

Remi continues to play, with Jacob watching him. Jacob comes over and quips that Remi shouldn’t give up the day job, except this is his day job. He drops a coin into Remi’s case. Remi sarcastically tells him to have a nice day. Not too far away, Roo and Marilyn are walking, having gone home and got changed. Roo says she’s sorry Marilyn couldn’t tell them about Heather. Marilyn says she didn’t think anyone would understand. Roo recalls giving away her own daughter and Marilyn says that’s not the same situation, saying she didn’t want to give up Heather and should never have got involved with her father. Roo says he took advantage of her but Marilyn says she shouldn’t have given Heather up: She’s ruined lives, including Heather’s, and nearly Alf’s. She walks away.

Eden has confessed to Kirby, who expresses bewilderment that Remi got involved. Eden says she never should have been involved with Cash and that now he’s into casual. Kirby suggests she write a song about it, saying that’s what helps her, along with chocolate. Eden suggests filming a music video with her hot bandmates might help. Remi comes home and says he’ll come, asking what everyone else is doing.

Later, the three of them are at the lighthouse with Minnie and her crew. Kirby shows Minnie the shot list; Minnie predicts they’ll get about 70% of them done, 60% if they lose the light. Things are still tense between Eden and Remi. Theo arrives and says Justin isn’t coming and he’ll explain later. Minnie asks if they’ve all done lip synching. They say yes but Theo is less than convincing, and after a first attempt, Minnie tells him and Kirby to rehearse while she gets footage of Remi and Eden. The pair aren’t too happy about filming together.

Alf tells Roo he’ll be glad to get out of hospital. Roo relates her conversation with Marilyn. Alf also says they’re different situations, saying Roo’s worked through her situation while Marilyn’s in the middle of hers. Roo rather testily says that she’s worked through it as best she can and just wanted Marilyn to feel supported.

Marilyn goes round to see Leah and Justin and tells them Alf will be home today. Justin goes to get lunch so they can talk. Leah asks Marilyn if she’s okay and how she feels about Heather forcing her to reveal the truth. Marilyn admits she wasn’t relieved but at least it’s out in the open now. Leah says no-one is judging her. Marilyn says they did a bit and they should.

Remi and Eden are playing but neither looks happy. Minnie cuts the music and tells them to pretend they want to be here. They say they don’t want to be in the same shot. Eden says Remi was the one that threw her under the bus yet he’s acting miserable. Remi says not everything’s about her and walks away. Eden follows him and he apologises for talking to Cash. Eden asks what else is going on and he tells her that Bree’s husband is hitting her, asking her not to tell anyone.

Leah asks Marilyn if she regrets cutting Heather out of her life. Marilyn says she doesn’t, but she does regret the choices she made. Leah tries to tell her it’s not her fault. Justin walks in and says he can come back but Marilyn leaves. Meanwhile, Alf and Roo have arrived home. Alf finds a note from Marilyn saying they’re her best friends and her family: She’s sorry for the trouble she’s caused and thinks it’s best she leaves.

Lyrik are now giving a more energetic performance until Minnie calls a wrap. Kirby quietly remarks to Theo that Eden and Remi seem better. She invites them to come and do the editing but Remi declines and Eden decides to go with him, insisting they get a drink. Some time after, they are coming down from Salt with pizzas. Remi says he doesn’t know what he’s going to do. Eden says it’s up to Bree to do something. Remi worries that she feels she can’t reach out.

As they exit the surf club, Remi sees Jacob and points him out to Eden. Jacob asks for a slice of pizza and offers them a drink, saying he feels bad about how little Remi made earlier. Remi says he doesn’t do it for the money. Eden tries to call Jacob out but he won’t talk to her directly, telling Remi to keep her under controls. Eden asks if he’s going to hit her. Remi looks ashen and leads Eden away.
