Felicity follows a trail of suspicion. Has Leah sent Heather packing?
Extended Summary
Felicity, Theo, Kirby, Eden and Remi all approach the surf club. Felicity walks ahead with Theo and Kirby, saying she’s sorry she missed their gig. Eden is texting Cash, asking if she’s going to see him tonight. Cash suddenly grabs her from behind and pulls her back for a kiss, which is seen by Remi when he looks back at them. Eden reminds Cash that Felicity is right there, then resumes kissing him.
Up in Salt, Justin and Mackenzie discuss her offer with Justin saying he’ll put it to the band. Theo, Kirby, Eden and Felicity come in as Justin goes to answer a call from Leah. Felicity goes to get drinks from the bar, since she has a staff discount. Theo wonders if they’re going to tell her the gig was a failure. Eden joins them and Remi comments that her lipstick’s smudhed and her hair’s a mess, but then it always is. Justin reappears and tells Theo they’ve got to go. Felicity returns and Remi takes Theo’s beer.
Justin and Theo arrive home. Leah says the police said not to touch anything. Justin is relieved to hear Buddy’s safe out the back and Theo’s relieved that the PlayStation is still there. Leah says the intruder didn’t seem to take anything. Theo goes to check his guitar’s safe as Justin wonders who could have done this.
At the police station, Rose comments on Cash being back but Cash isn’t happy about being on restricted duties during the investigation. He says he’s going to check out the break and enter. Rose reminds him that he isn’t allowed to go on call-outs alone until he’s cleared and Cash says he’ll wait for her in the car.
Remi and Kirby debate whether or not to go back to the Palace but Eden is focused on bombarding Cash with texts. Mackenzie tells Felicity she’s reopened negotiations with Justin but not to tell Lyrik. Kirby heads to the toilet, warning Remi he’ll die if he touches her drink. Felicity asks Eden about Cash, saying he’s out most nights and she’s worried he’s blowing off steam in the wrong way. Eden says she hasn’t seen him much and, when Felicity’s out of earshot, warns Remi not to say anything.
At the Morgan house, Rose examines a broken window while Cash questions Leah. Rose suggests it could have been a personal attack but Cash dismisses it as kids and says insurance will cover it, which Justin isn’t impressed by. Rose asks Leah if she can think of anyone and Leah suggests Heather.
Cash and Rose head back to the police station, pondering how often Heather’s name comes up. Rose wonders what motive Heather would have for trashing Leah’s house and suggests they’re covering for Marilyn. Cash says there’s no evidence or motive. Rose says people protect their friends. Cash makes a pointed remark about that and Rose protests that she just made an honest statement to the investigation.
At Salt, Kirby finishes a phone call with Theo and tells Felicity, Remi and Kirby about the break-in. Remi asks if Theo’s guitar is all right and confirms that’s all he cares about. Kirby heads off home. Felicity notes that normally she’d say Cash would sort it but she doesn’t even know if he’s working. Eden says he is. Felicity asks how she knows and Remi says they saw him drive past in the police car outside. Meanwhile, Cash has finished looking up Heather. He says she has a South Australia driving license but there’s nothing to worry about. Rose thinks they should interview her. Cash agrees but says it can wait until tomorrow.
Back at the Morgan house, Justin and Theo have finished clearing up, with Justin looking at a photo of himself and his siblings, the frame of which was smashed. Theo goes to bed and Justin asks Leah why Heather would do this. Leah tells him Heather is Marilyn’s daughter. Justin asks why Leah didn’t tell the police. Leah says it wouldn’t change anything and it’s not her secret to tell. She says she had a run-in with Heather, which Justin realises means Leah had a go at her. He advises her to stay clear and leave it to the police.
Felicity comes home and finds Cash changing out of his uniform. He dismisses his shift as dull and boring. Felicity tries to talk to him but Cash refuses to engage with the conversation and walks out. Felicity watches him from the window. At the Lyrik house, Remi is strumming his guitar while Eden is focused on her phone. Kirby goes to bed, reminding them there’s a band meeting in the morning. Remi asks if Cash has texted Eden back yet. He queries her saying it wasn’t serious, saying Eden doesn’t normally sleep with someone more than a couple of times and it isn’t casual when you’re waiting for someone to text. He worries she’s going to get hurt. Cash turns up and ignores Remi as he and Eden go to her room.
Next morning, Leah goes to the caravan park and finds Rose coming out of Heather’s van. Leah says she just wants to talk to Heather. Rose says that’s a terrible idea but they’re both too late anyway: Heather’s gone. Back at the Morgan house, Justin asks Theo what the band will think of Mackenzie’s offer. Theo says it’s all right for him, since he has the apprenticeship, but he’s not sure about the others. He quips either they’ll agree or they’ll fire Justin. Leah comes home and Justin asks Theo to wait in the car. Leah admits she went to see Heather but she’s gone. She worries about how Marilyn will react.
Cash and Eden are still in bed. Cash gets a phone call from Rose but ignores it, saying it’s just work and his shift hasn’t started. As they get ready for another round, Remi knocks on the door and reminds Eden about the band meeting. Eden says she’s not feeling very well. Neither Kirby or Remi is impressed but they go without her.
Felicity greets Remi and Kirby at the surf club. Kirby explains about the band meeting and complains about Eden. Remi says she has a hangover and claims she carried on drinking at home after Kirby went to bed. After Kirby’s headed upstairs, Felicity says Cash went across the road to their house last night. She sees from Remi’s reaction that he knew and asks how long Eden’s been sleeping with her brother.
Felicity follows Remi upstairs and he says he hasn’t kept a record of exact dates and it’s none of his business. He goes to sit with Justin, Mackenzie, Theo and Kirby. Kirby isn’t sold on committing to a year. Justin thinks it’s a good idea and shows Remi the contract. Remi asks what happens if they get a gig in LA. Kirby says they’ve never been locked in like this before. Justin says a regular income is better than new income or playing at the Palace. Theo, Kirby and Remi all agree but Remi says he can’t speak for Eden. Mackenzie asks where she is.
Eden goes back to the bedroom with two glasses of water. Cash has found a flyer for the first gig Lyrik played, at a dive where Felicity worked. He recalls he was in the crowd and Eden didn’t notice him. Eden says things have changed and they start kissing passionately…just as Felicity bursts in. Felicity snaps that she didn’t mean this when she asked Eden to keep an eye on Cash.
