Extended Summary
Felicity, Remi and Kirby are loading the band’s equipment into the back of a ute. Remi wonders where Eden and “that newbie” are. Eden arrives and says she’s sorted out a new home for them, pointing out the house across the street. Felicity says there’s no rush for them to move out and Kirby quips that they should give her the lounge room floor back at some point.
At the Morgan house, Theo is looking pensive as Justin and Leah appear. He says he can’t get hold of Chloe. Justin says Nikau and Tane would let them know if there’s a problem. Leah asks what he’s going to wear, insisting he gets changed into something smarter, and thinks Chloe knows it’s important and will be there.
Cash paces back and forth and feels the temperature of the champagne. He leaves Jasmine a message saying to let him know if coming home early is a problem. He takes his jacket off and loosens his tie, going to the bedroom and looking at the ring. Meanwhile, at the surf club, Dean suggests to Ziggy that Theo might suck while Ziggy is upset that all her hard work might go to waste and blames Justin for putting the idea of auditioning in Theo’s head. Remi, Eden and Kirby turn up, with Felicity running behind. Remi and Kirby query Eden making the decision to move without asking them, calling her Bob, but warm to the idea when she points out they’ll have a room each. Remi calls over to Ziggy and Dean, asking if they’re looking forward to the gig. Ziggy says no and he calls them a tough crowd.
Upstairs, Mackenzie frets over the lack of sound check from Salt and the fact Theo isn’t there. Felicity said he gave a good audition and Mackenzie says she could have done better than most of them. Felicity jokes that can be the plan if Theo doesn’t turn up. Remi asks about the fact Theo isn’t there and Eden manages to forget she’s speaking into a microphone while talking about it.
Justin worries Theo will be even more nervous if he’s late. Theo finally appears and Leah insists on taking several photos of him. Justin tries to give Theo a pep-talk, saying the crowd at Salt will just be there for a good time. Leah realises he’s still worried about Chloe and reassures him.
Everyone is fretting about the fact they’re about to start. Remi and Eden say they’re finished if Theo doesn’t turn up and Kirby says she’d be disappointed. Theo turns up with Justin and Leah at the last minute and the rest of the band push him into joining them. Justin tells Ziggy he had a bit of stage fright. Ziggy wonders if he’ll be as good at this as doing an oil change. Even though Theo looks terrified right up to his entrance, he quickly grows in confidence as he performs. Ziggy looks somewhat disappointed.
At the Diner, Irene leaves a phone message for Ian wondering what’s going on with Jasmine. Cash asks her if she spoke to Jasmine and Irene reminds him she promised not to. She wonders if Xander might have said something but Cash says he spoke to him and he seemed calm. He notes there is one other person who knew what happened.
Everyone is continuing to enjoy Lyrik’s performance with Leah taking lots of photos and Theo in his element. Felicity and Mackenzie are in a celebratory mood and Ziggy admits to Justin and Dean that they’re not bad. Cash turns up and asks to talk to Felicity but she has to take the stage, announcing that Lyrik are their house band and will be there every fortnight. Ziggy is horrified and drags Justin downstairs as the performance starts up again. She asks what this means for Theo’s apprenticeship, reminding him he begged her to take Theo on. Justin refuses to discuss it now, going back upstairs.
Lyrik continue their performance until Eden announces a short break. The rest of the band congratulate Theo, as does Felicity. Theo still wonders about Chloe. Felicity realises he hasn’t spoken to her and says he’ll have to talk to Tane, but Leah’s recorded the whole thing to send to her. Justin tells Dean that Ziggy’s downstairs. Eden asks Cash where his girlfriend is and he says he’s not in the mood. He accosts Felicity, who’s chatting with Mackenzie, and they go out onto the balcony to talk. He asks if she’s spoken to Jasmine. Felicity says she only found out Jasmine was coming back from Eden and would have dobbed him in weeks ago if she was going to. Cash explains about her not turning up. Meanwhile, Dean joins Ziggy downstairs and offers to go home with her, thinking Mackenzie can manage it now.
Lyrik continue their set, as Justin and Leah discuss the situation with Ziggy and Dean, and how proud they are of Theo, before dancing. Felicity convinces Cash it’s too soon to panic, reminding him that he used to wait up for her to come home. Back at the farm house, Ziggy tells Dean she feels like Justin doesn’t respect her. Dean can see that she’s still upset and Ziggy says not with him.
The band, Felicity and Mackenzie drink a toast. Theo joins Leah and Justin, still disappointed that Chloe didn’t turn up. Eden sits with Cash but he quickly leaves after saying a goodbye to Felicity, who explains what’s going on to Eden. Next morning, Ziggy chats briefly to Dean as he prepares for a surf lesson. She sees Justin approaching and says they’re going to have that talk now. Justin protests he’s only just had a surf and Ziggy retorts that he should be refreshed.
Eden finds Cash sitting on the beach and notices he’s wearing the clothes from last night. He says that Jasmine’s been missing all night and neither she nor the Shaws are answering their phones. He thinks he should report her missing.
