Extended Summary

Marilyn joins John on the beach near the Diner. John feels bad about what he said and agrees that Marilyn loves Jett as much as him. However, he is still worried about everything that could go wrong. Marilyn says Jett wants his independence; John thinks they should have stopped him while Marilyn thinks they should support him. John says he needs to think and walks away. At the Morgan house, Justin, Tori and Mason are having breakfast. Justin calls out to Raffy; he initially doesn’t get a response but then she calls that she’s getting dressed. Mason tries to get Tori to push for Raffy’s place on the CBD trial. Tori thinks Mason blames her for him possibly going to jail; Mason denies it but is still curt with her. Raffy overhears as he admits he doesn’t have other options: The advocacy group agree with him but don’t want to show their hand. As Raffy joins them, Justin tries to convince her everything will be all right.

Robbo and Jasmine are walking through a park area. Robbo suggests they discuss wedding venues. Jasmine reminds him what he said at Colby and Chelsea’s wedding, that he wants a church ceremony surrounded by their friends. However, she points out it’s not just them involved. They go and see Tori and ask for her input on dates for the wedding. Tori feels a bit guilty, since she didn’t consult them over the implantation, but they tell her they don’t want her going into labour during the service or the honeymoon. Tori says she’ll get her calendar.

John arrives at the surf club and snaps at Ryder, who is manning the juice bar, when he sees him using his phone, saying he should find some work to do. Ben steps in, quietly telling John that Ryder’s been flat out and has kept the juice bar afloat. He also comments on how stressed John is, saying he should either accept the situation or do something about it. This makes John think. In the gym, Raffy tries to get Mason to let her testify, saying she’ll tell the court she made him do it. Mason points out that that’s a lie and is also worried that it would bring on a seizure. Raffy says she wouldn’t if she was on the trial. Mason tries to convince her that he’ll be all right. Raffy says he’s the one lying now.

Robbo, Jasmine and Tori lock down the wedding for a month before Tori’s due to give birth. Tori tells the couple that they deserve it after everything they’ve been through. Raffy arrives as they’re leaving. Tori excitedly tries to tell her about the engagement but Raffy isn’t interested, instead asking Tori for ten minutes to convince her to help Mason. Robbo and Jasmine walk along the beach, with Robbo eager to talk about wedding and reception venues. They wonder about the wedding party: Robbo wants Lance, if he can get time off work, and Jasmine considers asking Willow and Tori. Reflecting on what Tori said, she wonders if it’s really going to be plain sailing from hereon. Robbo assures her nothing will go wrong.

Raffy tells Tori that cannabis was considered an accepted treatment until the 90s. Tori says it was outlawed for a reason but Raffy thinks it was just to make pharmaceutical companies money. Tori accepts the CBD oil helps Raffy, which is why she put her forward for the trial, but says Mason wasn’t qualified to give it to her and it could have gone wrong. Raffy insists Mason did his research and shows Tori her diary, demonstrating the difference in her while she was on it. She asks her to look at the evidence. At the Diner, Leah and Justin tell Roo they’re going to the gym, although Justin says he’s only going to see Mason. Marilyn comes in but goes into the kitchen without responding to them. Sending the others on, Roo goes to see her, asking if the fresh air helped. Marilyn wonders if they did the wrong thing letting Jett go. Roo doesn’t think so but Marilyn thinks John’s out of control. Roo tries to convince her things will be back to normal soon.

Alf gives instructions to a lifeguard at the surf club. John comes over and apologises to him. Alf says he needs to apologise to Marilyn too; John says he has but Alf maintains he shouldn’t have spoken to her how he did. John asks him about how his long distance relationship with Martha is going. Alf is worried where the conversation’s going. John says Jett needs him more than Marilyn; Alf asks if he’s leaving her and John says he needs to talk to her. Later, Alf tries to get John to come out of the office. Leah turns up with Justin and Alf prompts her to tell John about how much his behaviour is worrying Marilyn. John sadly notes he’s a monster. Alf says he’s just an idiot but tells him not to talk about leaving her.

Robbo is in his bedroom and calls Jasmine in, telling her he’s booked the church for the day they wanted. He reiterates that the planning’s going smoothly and suggests trying for a reception venue next. At the gym, Justin is chatting to Mason in the office while Leah uses the facilities. Justin thinks Mason has a strong case but Mason says they need to accept he might go to jail, reflecting that at least it won’t be for long. Justin offers to speak for Mason in court but Mason says he doesn’t have the right qualifications. He wonders if Tori’s right and he might have risked making Raffy worse.

Roo is continuing to support Marilyn as John arrives and asks to talk to her. He’s sorry that he’s made her unhappy but he thinks he’s found a solution: They should move to the city to be near Jett. Marilyn is horrified by the idea, saying they need to bring Raffy home. John says she’s happy with her family and Jett needs them more. Marilyn says he’s taken her by surprise but John is upset that she hasn’t even considered it. Outside, John finishes a phone call to Jett. He tells Marilyn that he’s going back to the city. Marilyn isn’t convinced it’s what Jett wants and says their lives are here. John says he doesn’t want to go without her but can’t see another way and asks her to think about it while he’s gone. Alf and Roo watch from a distance as he drives off. Roo joins Marilyn and asks what’s going on.

Raffy cheerily greets Justin and Mason as they arrive home. Tori is working at her laptop and looking through Mason’s research; she says she’s writing a letter of support for medical necessity. She agrees he did his research and went out of his way to help Raffy so she’s doing the same for him. Mason hugs her gratefully and also hugs Raffy while Justin gives Tori an approving nod.
