Extended Summary
Leah is troubled over whether she should tell Dan what Ryan said to her about stopping the wedding. But the right time never seems to come and meantime, Ryan is winning over everyone with his charm – only making Leah increasingly concerned.
Hayley agrees with Jesse that they should get a new partner for the bar. There’s a sense that things are moving forward for Jesse. Colleen is trying to get people involved in the first Miss Groper meeting the following afternoon – but no-one’s interested. She uses a bit of emotional blackmail to get Tasha to enter the pageant, and Robbie teasingly drops Tasha right in it. She’s not happy.
Scott and Lisa are back from their romantic days together and there’s a real sense of strengthening in their relationship. Beth is concerned however – there’s something about it that doesn’t sit right. Hayley apologises to Lisa for sticking her nose in the other day and asking all those questions about Alan. Lisa accepts and hopes Hayley can keep the info to herself until she’s had the time to talk to Scott.
Ryan is incredibly rude to Leah at the Diner when he thinks they’re alone – but Jesse hears it all. Jesse warns Leah not to let Ryan test the boundaries too far or he’ll ride roughshod over her. Dan is none the wiser to the growing tensions though. He has to head out for the day, leaving Ryan alone with Leah who is determined to win him over. But it’s going to be tough because Ryan just keeps on insulting her, no matter what she does. Finally he takes one step too many and Leah angrily sends him to his room. Ryan then phones his Mum in LA and complains. Dan cops an earful and asks Leah to go easy on the kid – he’s having to adjust to big changes. Leah is forced to bite her tongue. Ryan’s manipulations continue and Leah is forced to apologise to him for losing her temper. Later on Dan reveals that the one thing he wanted was for and Ryan to hit it off. She promises she won’t give up on Ryan – but is it too late?
Robbie wins the $5,000 video competition! Lisa sees the video and scores him a gig on a local commercial – she knew the director. He’s ecstatic. Scott things it’s more confirmation about Lisa, but Beth is still suspicious. And she has a right to be. Later on, Alan arrives at the beach and asks Lisa to come back to the city. She says she’ll see what she can do, tells him she still loves him and they kiss. Hayley sees it all. The realisation comes – Lisa was lying to her! She wants to tell Scott, but keeps on getting diverted.
Lisa tells Scott she has to move back to the city, and then stuns him by asking him to come with her. Scott is resistant at first. After all – he wouldn’t leave the Bay for Dani, so why for Lisa? But Lisa talks him around. He doesn’t have to stay. He can come for a while and just try it. What is he waiting for? Scott realises there’s nothing stopping him. They announce their decision to move to the city, leaving Hayley reeling…
