Grant is suspicious of a newcomer to Summer Bay. Karen decides Blake and Sophie need to be taught a lesson.

First episode. Alcoholic school teacher with a mysterious link to Jennifer.

Extended Summary

Alf, Ailsa and Jennifer have eaten breakfast and they talk.

Jennifer will find a place to live in for the time being. She doesn’t want to stay at Alf’s house anymore.

Alf think there is no reason for her to move out but he understands that’s what she wants and there are no hard feelings.

Blake and Sophie try to figure out a boyfriend for Karen.

Steven talks to Maz in school. The new deputy headmaster comes by and asks for the headmaster’s office.

Grant talks to Fisher in his office. Grant have read Alan Stone’s math’s book (the new deputy is Alan Stone and is an is author of those books). Grant thinks they are boring and outdated.

Just then Alan knocks on the door. Grant and Fisher got caught by surprise. They introduce each other. Alan sees his books in Fisher’s office. Fisher says Grant had borrowed them. Grant says they probably were good “in their day”. Alan seems surprised but agrees mostly. He first thought Grant was a student since he is not wearing suit or tie.

Grant asks Steven if he wants to join him in a half-distance marathon in the city (some friends of Grant in the city are organising it). Steven is in doubt. He doesn’t know if he is up to that really but will think about it.

Alan Stone move into a caravan in caravan park. Pip shows him the caravan. Pip invites him over for tea after he has unpacked.

He packs up a bottle of alcohol and hides it in caravan. (Tense music).

Jennifer and Alf look at a house that she seem interested in to move into she drove the car since Alf have lost his licence a while ago due to drinking under the influence of alcohol.

She likes the place. It is a bit far from rest of the houses. They look in the house and she definitely likes it and she decides she will move into it.

Blake and Sophie are whispering about finding Karen a boyfriend. Karen wonders what is up.

They put Karen in a situation and they talk to a guy named Gary. He reads French in school and Karen does that too. Sophie suggests that they help each other in French homework. Karen says she will think about it.

Alan drinks tea over at Pip’s house and talks to Pip. He talks about his ex wife.

Jennifer packs her things in Alf’s house and will move out today.

Alf think it is a bit bad that she is moving so far out from any other house. She thinks it is good since she wants to paint in peace.

Blake and Sophie try to get Gary interested in Karen. Gary seems interested in Karen.

Blake and Sophie ask Gary if he wants to come with them and Karen to cinema this weekend. Karen feel they have it all planned out behind her back sort of. Gary says OK to that. They will first go out to dinner and then to the movie. Karen knows they already planned to get her a boyfriend.

Steven is out jogging and comes to Jennifer’s house and drinks some water outside her new house. She says hello. He got very scared and accidentally hits his head outside her house. He is bleeding lightly. They talk.

She invites him into her house.

A party gathering at Fisher’s house starts to welcome Alan Stone. Pip, Alan Stone, Fisher, Alf, Ailsa and Grant is there and even more people. Alan says no to drinks and he say he doesn’t drink.

Fisher toasts Alan in front of people to welcome him. Alan has a short speech in front of the people.

Grant feel there is something fishy about Alan. He tells Alf about it. Alf think Alan is all right.

Steven and Jennifer talk. They get to know each other. She explains she is a painter.

Steven seems to start to like Jennifer. (Emotional music).

When Alan is alone in his caravan, after Pip left, he drinks some alcohol secretly. He drinks very fast and it looks as if he is an alcoholic. (Tense music)

Pip reckons Steven is acting a bit strange. He says it is nothing.

Karen tells Ailsa that Sophie and Blake set her up with a boy in school. She thinks it is funny. She will do something to teach them a lesson for interfering in her love life!
