Roo destroys the engagement party with a shattering revelation about Ailsa.

>It is revealed in this episode that Ailsa had been in jail for the murder of her violent father when she was young. Her real surname is revealed to be O’Rourke.

Extended Summary

A lot of people are having fun at Alf and Ailsa’s engagement party.

Roo tells Frank what Morag has told her. They turn up at the engagement party even though Roo doesn’t want to go there in the first place.

Roo tells Ailsa in front of everyone at the engagement party that Ailsa has killed her father a long time ago. Alf gets very angry with Roo. Ailsa tells Alf it is actually true. Ailsa drives away from the party. Alf goes to her home but she is not there.

Frank gives out to Roo for the trouble she has caused.

Bobby talks to Ailsa at the beach; Ailsa tells her the story of how it happened when Ailsa she killed her father. She wants to leave Summer Bay now, but Bobby tries to convince her not to.

Steven asks Frank how old he was when he started shaving. He actually shaves his face, despite it being too early to shave!

Ailsa explains to Alf why and how she killed her father and that she’s been in jail for it. Her father used to beat her mother up for a very long time and one time she nearly died after his abuse so Ailsa desperately killed him to get him to stop. Later on, she has realised what she had done. Alf listens to her and holds her hand. He then hugs her.

Steven shows off his face to Pippa and Bobby! They laugh at him. He goes over to Neville but he teases him. He wants to be more mature. Frank laughs! Floss discovers he has shaved and he gives her a hug!

Bobby rings at Alf’s house. Roo opens and Bobby punches her right in the face!
