Ms Simmons was hired by Barry Hyde as the new school secretary after he made Irene redundant.After Henry and Max tampered with the school computers for a prank, Ms Simmons found that several important documents now seemed to be blank.While Barry ranted and raved, a visiting Irene showed Ms Simmons that they had simply turned all the text white to make it appear invisible, before telling her she’d worked for five principals and the only one who knew anything about computers was a woman.

A few weeks later, Kim tried some sabotage of his own and erased several files.When Barry berated her for not keeping back-ups, Ms Simmons got fed up with his bullying behaviour and resigned.
