Continuing the style introduced in the previous season, the first set of titles produced for 2008 were never actually seen on-screen in Australia or the UK.
When master tapes were compiled for the episodes, a full set of opening titles was provided at the end, to give international broadcasters the option of adding them onto the episodes if they so wished. Press preview DVDs provided at the time were copied from these masters, hence us knowing of the existence of this opener.
Channel 5 in the UK never opted to edit any titles on, instead airing the episodes just as they aired in Australia, however we cannot be certain whether any other countries did utilise them.
This particular set saw the removal of Dan Baker following his departure towards the end of 2007, and who would later die off-screen. Added in his place was Aden Jefferies. If they had aired, they would have debuted in Episode 4571, the season opener, only one block after the previous change in the closing week of 2007.
