Alexander Mullens

Mullens was the ringleader of a group of teens that Rosie started hanging out with after falling out with Sasha. Rosie let him kiss her even though they weren’t dating and Sasha found Mullens rating girls’ kisses and encouraging his friends to get Rosie to kiss them. Sasha confronted him at the Diner and told him to stay away from Rosie, pouring a milkshake into his lap. She later found Rosie hanging out with him again and confronted him with back-up from Tamara. Mullens noted he’d seen the topless photo of her that Stu Henderson circulated and Sasha warned him he could be charged if he still had it. Mullens convinced Rosie to leave with him.

A few days later, Mullens raped Rosie in the back of a car, ignoring her telling him she didn’t want to. When Sasha confronted him about it, he dismissed Rosie’s evident distress, saying they’d had fun. Although the rape was reported to the police, there wasn’t enough evidence to press charges. He bragged about the fact and suggested he and Rosie go out again. Sasha punched him and he had her charged with assault. Kyle confronted him and intimidated him into dropping the charges and moving schools.

Although he wasn’t seen again, he would continue to cast a shadow for the next few weeks. Another girl, Bella Logarno, admitted he had raped her as well and made a statement but even that wasn’t enough to charge him. One of his entourage, Lachlan Stone, who had initially backed up his story, revealed that Mullens had bragged about what happened and sent him texts with the details, which he showed to the police. Mullens was arrested and charged. Rosie found out she was pregnant as a result of the rape; it is unclear if Mullens was ever aware.
