Christy Clarke

Christy was a Summer Bay High student in the same year as Sasha, who was first seen at the Diner asking her if she’d done her homework shortly before Margaret Henderson branded Sasha a murderer. Although they had previously appeared to be on friendly terms, Christy, who appeared to have had a crush on Stu, quickly turned on Sasha over his death, tripping her up in the playground and then playing innocent. She asked to speak at Stu’s memorial, where she started off complimenting him but then began talking angrily about his death, calling Sasha cruel and pointless before Elijah stepped in.

Although she claimed to have had no involvement in much of the actions against Sasha, such as an e-mail campaign against her, her being sent a disfigured doll and posters denouncing her as a killer being put up around the school, Christy led a group of girls in attacking Sasha on the beach and beating her. One of the other girls involved, Serena, filmed the beating, meaning the video was available as evidence when Sasha told Gina about it. Christy was expelled and the other ringleaders suspended.

A few weeks later, Christy gave evidence at Sasha’s trial where she claimed that Stu would never have asked Sasha to go away with him because Christy was the one dating him. Morag challenged the claim, pointing out that phone records showed he had never called her and bringing up her campaign against Sasha, but with Sasha constantly calling out and Christy insisting she was a murderer, the judge called a recess until the following day.
