Sydney's The Sunday Telegraph reports today that Isabel Lucas (aka Tasha Andrews) is leaving the show, whilst Melbourne's Sunday Herald Sun reports Jason Smith (Robbie Hunter) also finished filming last week, a day before Lucas' last scene.
Lucas is leaving the show after 3 years to travel the world, claiming "I'm ready for a new chapter in my life.'' She told the Daily Telegraph that she was planning to backpack through Spain and Switzerland before spending time volunteering with OzQuest in Africa.
Lucas joined the cast in 2003 as mysterious character 'Jane Doe', who appeared from the sea speaking Pig Latin. She was later discovered to be Tasha Andrews, and over time she was revealed to be daughter of devious Angie Russell and businessman Ian Osbourne. How unfortunate for her.
Just how have Robbie and Tasha been written out of the show? Let the speculation begin.

Well, as you can probably see, we've had a complete re-design. It's our biggest ever re-design, and for once, every page has received the new look all at the same time (though don't hold me to that - if I've missed a page somewhere along the lines, please let me know).
So, what's different about this new look website?
New Dark Theme
Of course, most noticeably, we have a brand new layout and colour scheme. Our previously light blue/red/orange colour scheme has been replaced with a dark blue colour scheme, which has been described by at least two forum members as 'classy'. I hope you agree.

Switchable Themes
If the dark-blue theme is a little too dark for you, don't worry. We have a grayscale theme available, and it's up to you which one you use. Just click one of the two boxes in the top-right of the page, and we'll remember your selection as you browse the site. More colour schemes will be added soon.
On certain occasions, the wrong theme may be shown. This is a known problem, and I'm looking to correct it ASAP.

Clearer Menu Bar
No more having to click on a small arrow to reveal a hidden menu bar. Our menu is now back where it should be - right under the logo and visible at all times. You're now one click away from all of BTTB's many sections.

RSS Feeds
Both our News and Updates sections now have RSS Feeds, so you can know straight away when the website has been updated.
Firefox users can subscribe to our feeds using the 'Live Bookmarks' feature. Just click on the orange RSS icon while in the News or Updates section. However, our feeds will work with almost all RSS feed readers or aggregators out there.
There's plenty more to come on the new look Back to the Bay, and I'll bring you more details on this soon.
Enjoy the new look,
Chris

It was today confirmed that Home and Away star Kate Ritchie (Sally) has ended her five year relationship with Rugby League player Chris Walker. A source close to the couple revealed that the relationship had been on the rocks since Walker was escorted by police from a Melbourne hotel, that Ritchie was staying in, two weeks ago.
Ritchie is believed to have been fed up of Walker's various altercations with the police, and living up to his reputation as 'the bad boy of league'.
Ritchie has yet to comment on her breakup, however a source at Seven commented on the split:
"I knew things were very rocky, so I was surprised to hear Chris saying this week that he and Kate were still in love and very much together, It's no surprise that they've broken up."
