I love how you twisted all the scenes round, you have made them so sweet, i especially love that you had him telling her straight away instead of the whole skank bit. Please update soon! With her legs dangling of the edge of the couch, Nicole lay back on the couch listening to her iPod as she read a magazine, flicking the pages noisily. “I am sooooo bored!” Nicole complained loudly as Aden tried to ignore her as he was hastily taking notes for his next assignment. “Why don’t you go and play with your new best friend?” Aden replied, trying to be civil. “What, who?” Nicole replied, not looking up. “Geoff, you two seem joined at the hip these days…” “Ok, just because you’re all loved up with Belle, doesn’t mean you get to play matchmaker with me!” “Fine, then stop complaining!” Aden retorted. “Anyway, Geoff and I are just friends” “Really?” “Yep” Nicole said as she pursed her lips, turning another page. “So, you and Belle huh? How’s that going for you?” “If you’re having another go at Belle-” “I’m not! Just trying to make conversation, and Belle is the only thing you have been doing the last few weeks so there is nothing much else to talk about!” Aden scoffed. “You’re not very good at making small talk, are you?” “You still haven’t answered my question…” “Things are pretty sweet, Belle is, great” “I bet she is, you two practically spend every night together!” Nicole remarked with a grin on her face, raising her eyebrows in a matter-of-fact way. “Ok, I’m going now…have fun with yourself” Aden replied as he smirked and left Nicole. … The diner was busy as usual as the beach goers poured in to avoid the mid-afternoon heat. Belle sat at a table as she sipped a coffee, surprised to see Aden walking in with a dozen books. “Hiya stranger” “Hey, what you up to?” “Oh, nothing much, avoiding Nicole, the usual” Aden replied as he sat down across from her. “What’s wrong?” Belle asked as she studied the look on Aden face. “Why would you think there is something wrong?” “You seem like there is something bothering you…wanna tell me what it is?” Aden hesitated. “Ah, do you want to go somewhere more private” Belle asked. “Yeah, fine, it’s like crazy in here anyway…” Aden remarked as he gave a bunch of rowdy teenage boys a dirty look. “So?” “It’s nothing really...” Aden said as they walked downed the beach looking for some shade to sit under. Belle raised her eyebrows, “Aden.” “It’s just a stupid comment Nicole made” “Then why is it upsetting you so much?” “Well it was about you, well us, you know” Belle let out a laugh, “Well, what exactly did she say?” “Just about us sleeping together every night” “Oh, well what we do or don’t do is none of her business” Aden sighed, “I just wish things could be easier…you know what I mean?” “Yeah, Aden, but these things take time, you’ve only had a couple of counseling sessions, give it time” “I know, it’s just so frustrating…” “You need to let go of all your anger and frustration, and focus on the positives” “Ok, and what would they be” Aden asked. “Well for starters, you amazingly understanding, loving girlfriend” Belle replied, trying to keep a serious face. “Loving girlfriend huh?” “Mmmmm loving girlfriend” Belle replied. “Amazingly, understanding, loving girlfriend’ Aden repeated. “sure am!” Aden laughed, “I know, you’re right, how are you always right?” “It’s a gift” Belle said as she did her best ‘Aden’ impression and laughed. “Why don’t you ditch the text books and let’s do something fun, I think we could both do with a little fun, don’t ya think?” Belle asked as she playfully punched him lightly. “Ok, I’m in, what did you have in mind?” “You’ll see” she said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along. … “Belle, what are you doing? We are going to get busted!” “Its fine, come on, hurry up!” Belle climbed up the fire escape, until she reached the top, throwing her bag onto the roof and jumping up. She peered over the edge and held out her hand and gestured for Aden to come up. He hesitated for a second, then followed suit. “What are we doing up here?” “Enjoying the view” she said as she pointed with her head towards the beach and the roof top view of Summer Bay. “You bring all your boyfriends here?” “Only the good ones” “And they would be?” “So far, just you” Belle said smiling. “I used to come up here to take aerial shots of the beach, it’s so peaceful and quiet, I can concentrate here. It’s like my special place, away from everybody” Aden smiled, admiring Belle. “What?” “This is your special place?” “Uh huh” Belle replied, “If you don’t like it here, we can go somewhere else…” “No, no this is, cool…” “Oh my God!” Belle exclaimed. “What?”Aden said, nervously looking around. “You’re afraid of heights!” “No, I am not!” “Aden Jefferies, scared of heights, never would have guessed!” “Ok, let’s not be dramatic” Belle giggled, “Ok, ok I’m sorry, your secret is safe with me” “I would hope so” Aden replied, “all of them…” “Of course they are! I’m the most trustworthy person you can find!” “Good” “You want to know what I feel like?” “I have a feeling I’m going to find out anyway” Aden quirked. “An ice cream!” Belle said as she pointed to the ice cream stand on the other end on the beach. “Come on, let go!” she said as she grabbed her bag, and held her hand out expectedly at Aden. As Belle reached the bottom of the ladder, she called up to Aden at the top. “Don’t worry, if you fall, I’ll catch you!” “Yeah, I’d love to see that!” Aden said as he slowly made his way down the fire escape. Belle raced ahead of Aden towards the ice cream stand, turn round to calling out to him to hurry up. Aden walked towards the stand, watching his girlfriend join the queue with a grin on his face. Belle started chatting to the elderly lady in front of her and the two of them started laughing. Aden watched Belle with an incredulous look on his face. “What?” she asked, as she waved goodbye to the lady. “Do you know her?” “No, why?” “Nevermind, what flavour do you want, he asked as he pulled out his wallet” “Put that away, it’s on me!” Belle said as she ordered two ice creams. “You know, you’re very hard to spend money on, I like that” Aden said. “Oh, well I can’t be bought” Belle said as she handed Aden his ice cream. “Good to know” Aden said as he reached out and held her hand. “I had fun today, well considering” “Considering what?” Belle asked. “Well considering I almost died today, my crazy psycho girlfriend almost pushed me off the roof of a random building…” “Now who’s being dramatic?” They both laughed. “Come on, the fun hasn’t ended yet” Belle said as she pulled him along. “Here we go again…” Aden said as he followed Belle.
