Thanks for the feedback, here's the next part.

PART 10.

“I can’t believe it…”

Bobby shakes his head, kicking another rock in front of him. He frowns when he hears a soft sound, walking over to where it came from. What he sees behind the rock makes him gasp in surprise and shock.

“Kate?”

Mark looks up when Jessica comes back into the room.

“Did he say something?”

“Not really…”

She sits down on the bed, looking at him seriously.

“Now what?”

“I don’t know…”

“With Mark? Ouch…”

Kate winces when Bobby dabs at the cut on her face with a cotton ball and he bites his lip.

“Yeah. Damn, what did he do to you?”

Kate just shakes her head and Bobby frowns.

“You’re going to the police though, aren’t you?”

“I don’t know.”

“Kate! You have to!”

“Ouch… I can’t, Bobby. It’s not that simple.”

“Well what are you going to tell the guys if you go to work with this cut on your face tomorrow?”

“I don’t know… I fell?”

Bobby rolls his eyes.

“That’s just stupid. Right, that’s done. Anything else?”

“No…”

She stands up and Bobby puts his arm around her waist to give her some support.

“Ouch!”

Bobby lifts a brow and looks at Kate sternly.

“Usually when I say this to a girl, I use a seductive tone. But take off your top.”

“What? Don’t be ridiculous, I’m not…”

Bobby puts his hand over her mouth and carefully pulls her top over her head, examining the bruises on her body.

“Kate! How could you let him do this to you?”

Jodi frowns, putting the phone down.

“I tried calling Kate again, she’s still not picking up. Do you think we should go over there?”

Jon shakes his head, pulling Jodi close.

“Whatever her reasons for not picking up are, we’ll find out in the morning, okay?”

“Okay. I’m just worried about her…”

“Why?”

“Okay, promise you won’t tell anyone.”

“Jodi, you know me.”

Jodi sighs and nods slowly.

“Okay, well… Kate and I talked and… she had a moment with Paul, but she said that she didn’t want to go there. Then Paul and Sharni came into the restaurant. You should have seen her face, Jon. It was like she’s been kicked in the guts.”

“So you think she has feelings for Paul?”

“Yeah. That’s why I couldn’t understand her hanging with this Darin guy… It doesn’t make any sense.”

Jessica shakes her head, her eyes shining with tears.

“I shouldn’t have done that… he probably hates me now… I’m such an idiot…”

Mark frowns, putting his arm around her shoulders.

“Come on, Jess! Okay, what we did was wrong, but is it really all that?”

“Mark! He caught us in bed together! Is there a worse way?”

“It’s not like we were doing anything! We were just lying on the bed, with all of our clothes on, above the covers and…”

“Just… go. Please. I need to be alone.”

Bobby pulls Kate closer carefully, stroking her hair out of her face.

“Don’t worry. You’re safe here.”

She holds onto his hand, her eyes closed.

“Promise me you won’t let anyone in.”

“Of course I won’t.”

He keeps stroking over her hair, still frowning concernedly.

“Don’t worry, okay? Everything’s going to be fine…”

Kate bites her lip, tears starting to form in her eyes.

“Thank you…”

“Hey, have you seen Bobby?”

Jessica looks at Sharni and Paul worriedly and they both shake their heads.

“Why? What happened?”

Jessica bites her lip.

“He… sort of walked in on Mark and me…”

Paul grabs onto Sharni’s hand when her face whitens and shakes his head.

“We haven’t seen him, Jess. Sorry. We need to get home now. Bye.”

Jess nods before running off and Paul turns to Sharni.

“Are you okay?”

She shakes her head, tears forming in her eyes, and looks up at Paul.

“Let’s… let’s just go, okay?”

“Okay…”

Bobby looks at Kate with a small frown. They were never really close until she was a host on It Takes Two. They’d gotten to know each other and she was one of the strongest women he knew… why would she let someone do that to her? Her body jerks when there is loud knocking on the door and she opens her eyes to look at Bobby, clearly terrified.

“Who is that?”

“I don’t know… I’ll go and look…”

“What if it’s him?”

Bobby sits down on the bed and looks at her seriously.

“I sincerely doubt that, okay. Relax, I won’t let him in.”

:(

I dont like this. Its making me really sad.

Poor Kate, she really needs to go to the cops, who know's what Darin will do to her if Bobby's not around :(

Great chapters though :)

But Kyle, why cant you stand Jack and Martha?

That makes me upset :(

Thanks for the feedback. Rach - in answer to your question - they are just overrated. The writers are dragging it out and it bores me to tears.

PART 11

“Bobby! Open up!”

Bobby rolls his eyes when he recognizes Jessica’s voice through the wooden door.

He opens the door and glares at her.

“Could you not be so loud please? You woke Kate up.”

Jessica looks at him in shock.

“Kate? What’s she doing here?”

Bobby lifts a brow and smiles.

“Wouldn’t you like to know? But it’s none of your business so bye.”

He closes the door again, making sure to lock it before going back into his room. Kate is sitting on the bed, looking terrified.

“Who was it?”

“Jessica. But don’t worry, she’s gone now.”

“Oh…”

Kate sighs and lies down again.

“Thanks for letting me stay.”

“Kate, only a monster would let you go in this state. Should I call someone though?”

“No! No one can ever know, Bobby.”

“Kate, they’re going to find out sooner or later. You have to tell them.”

“I know I have to. I just don’t know how.”

Rhys smiles and pulls Indiana closer against his chest.

“I love being with you…”

“I love being with you too…”

She lifts her head up to kiss her just as her bedroom door opens and the two teens stare at her mother in shock…

Indiana sits up straight, pulling the covers up with her.

“Mum…”

“Indiana. Mr. Wakefield. Care to explain?”

Indiana bites her lip, looking at her mother guiltily.

“Mum, I…”

She looks at Rhys and Mrs. Evans lifts a brow.

“Please continue, Indiana. I can’t wait to hear this.”

Paul hands Sharni a cup of coffee and she takes it gratefully.

“Thank you.”

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah… it was just a shock, you know… hearing that Jess and Mark…”

She sighs, looking at Paul sadly.

“How pathetic are we? Both of us, in love with people who will never feel the same…”

Paul sighs.

“I know what you mean… when I saw Kate with that Darin guy… I guess that’s how you felt when you heard that Mark and Jess…”

“Don’t even say it.”

Sharni shakes her head, leaning against Paul’s chest, and he puts his arms around her, kissing the top of her head.

“Do you think Kate and Darin… you know…”

Sharni shrugs.

“I don’t know. I don’t think so… I mean, it looked like they only just got together and I know that her and Chris were together for almost a year before they…”

“Oh.”

Sharni nods.

“Kate usually thinks before sleeping with someone. She doesn’t just rush into things. Like my so-called best friend Jessica.”

Sharni shakes her head, tears forming in her eyes.

“Thanks for being here for me Paul… I need you so much right now.”

Paul tenderly kisses her on her cheek.

“What are boyfriends for?”

“Mum… I’m sorry. This isn’t how we wanted it to be…”

Mrs. Evans looks at Indiana and Rhys angrily.

“Indi, you are not to see this guy anymore.”

”Mum, we work together!”

“Then either of you quit!”

“I’m not quitting, mum! Don’t be ridiculous!”

“Ridiculous? He snuck into your room, Indiana!”

”Maybe I wanted him to!”

“Indi!”

“Well I did! I love him, mum! And I want to be with him. If you don’t want to accept that, then I’m moving out.”

“Indiana…”

Indiana lifts her chin, glaring at her mother.

“It’s my life, mum. I make my own choices and you just have to deal with it.”

Mrs. Evans lifts a brow.

“I’m your mother and you’re grounded. Deal with it.”

“Do you think we’ll be this happy forever?”

Jodi looks at Jon innocently and he laughs.

“I hope so…”

“So do I. I love you Jon.”

He sighs, holding her closer.

“I love you too… More than anything else in this world.”

Jodi looks up at him, smiling happily.

“Let’s go to bed…”
