He shakes his head slightly, stroking over her dark hair comfortingly and puts his arm around her waist, closing his eyes. “You are so going to have a headache in the morning.” He sighs, drifting off to sleep with his best friend sleeping soundly against his chest. Jodi looks up at Jon, grinning blissfully. He’s already asleep, and she reaches out to touch is face. “I love you, Jon…” She snuggles up against him and closes her eyes, knowing that she is where she belongs. “Morning…” Paul grins at Kate when she starts stirring and she moves away from him, her eyes wide in shock. “Did I… did you… did we?” “NO! You passed out and I decided to stay.” Kate sits up, touching her head. “Thanks… ouch…” “Hangover?” She nods and he leaves the room, returning with a glass of water and some aspirin. “I knew you were going to need this.” “Thanks. Again.” She looks at him with a small smile. “Thanks for staying, Paul… it’s probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.” “What are you kidding me? You’re my best friend, I couldn’t leave you like that!” “I didn’t do anything embarrassing, did I?” “Well I saved you from dancing on the table…” Kate puts the water on the table next to her bed and pulls the covers over her head. “I’m never going out again!” Paul laughs and pulls the covers off her face. “Yes, you are. Come on, let’s go out for brekkie.” Kate shakes her head and climbs out of the bed. “No… let me cook you something…” “Indi! Breakfast is ready!” Indiana slowly opens her eyes when she hears her mother’s voice and freezes when she feels Rhys’ warm body next to her. She sits up and slaps him on his chest. “Rhys! Get up, my mum is awake!” Rhys opens his eyes immediately. “Oh no…” He sits up too and they look at each other for a few seconds before Indiana slaps him on his arm. “Go, go, go!” He gives her a quick kiss before rushing out to the balcony and climbing down the tree. Paul smiles when he enters the kitchen with a towel around his waist and finds Kate in front of the oven, her hair in a messy bun and wearing an apron over her jeans and T-shirt. “You look adorable.” She grins at him and lifts a brow. “Nice skirt.” “Haha. I hope you don’t mind, I used your washing machine…” “Not at all… there’s some of my brother’s clothes in the spare room if you want to borrow it.” “Thanks…” He peeks over her shoulder and smiles. “Looks good. The food that is.” She laughs and hits him with a spoon playfully. “You go get dressed and let me cook in peace!” Jon opens his eyes slowly, grinning when he sees Jodi lying against his chest. He looks at her lovingly and smiles when she opens her eyes as well. “Morning beautiful.” “Morning.” She snuggles up to him, grinning happily. “It’s Saturday. That means we can spend the whole day lying in…” “Ooh, good idea…” She sighs when her cell phone starts ringing shrilly. “Or not. It’s Amy…” She lifts the phone to her ear. “Hey Aimz… What? I totally forgot! I’m on my way!” She quickly pecks Jon on the lips before jumping out of bed. “I have to go… I have a signing on Palm Beach and I forgot about it! See you later!” She runs off and Jon starts laughing. “Jodi!
