For those who dont know anything about this show its a Buffy spin off. I think Angel is better than Buffy, not much but a little better. Anybody else like this show? My favourite season I would say is Season 3 and character probably Wesley. I liked it when they bought Faith into it and I also liked Nina in Season 5 and Lindsey in 1 and 2. My favourite episodes are Orpheus and Dead End, they are great! I'm glad somebody has finally mentioned this show, it had great writing and actors. It deserves recognition! xxx Oh im glad im not the only one who love this show I have all the seasons too, so i can enjoy Angel at any time. I actually like Fred the most, but i also adore Angel, Faith, Darla, Cordy, Doyle and Wesley. I like Gunn to but not as a favorite. My favorite season must be the second and the third, i think its because we get to see alot from when Angel was a bad vampie I dont really like season 4 that much.. emmasi Posted April 19, 2007 Report Share Posted April 19, 2007 I would have said that Angel was better early on, but then it literally went to hell about halfway through season 4. However many years later and I still haven't brought myself to buy season 5. I can't think of one episode I want, I just want to own the whole series. I'm working up to it. Maybe I'll find it in a bargain bin for 89 cents one day My favourite season is 2 because it has Dru, Darla, and Lindsy. I'm pretty sure that's got the cross-over episode with Spike as well. I love Spike but I hated them dragging him onto the sinking ship for season 5. It cheapened the ending of Buffy (which wasn't that great anyway, but Spike's "final" moment was nice.) Harmony was alright because she sort of fitted in, and I wasn't attatched to any particular fate for her. I liked having her around. She was probably the only positive point of season 5. That and the scene in the finale when Lorne's killing Lindsy and Lindsy says, "It was supposed to be Angel." I appreciated that. I'm trying to think of my favourite episode... There's heaps that I like, but the two I tend to go to the most are "Waiting In The Wings" and "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been?" - I love that title. My favourite character in Angel is Angel . The core cast, Angel, Cordelia, Doyle, Wesley, Gunn, Fred and Lorne were all great (excluding anything after season four... Gunn was interesting and Wesley had his moments, but Cordie and Fred... I don't want to talk about it ). Didn't like Connor. I was okay with Angel having a baby, but the whole hell dimension, angry time-travelling loon, my son is a teenager who I've never seen but hates me anyway... it was too much for me. I think I was interested for exactly two episodes, and then I was over it. I also didn't like what it did to Wesley. I don't buy that EVERYONE would have turned on him like that when they knew he was only trying to protect the baby. I know it was a loyalty thing but jeez, they know about Angelus don't they? And that guy's all about taking out anything and anyone that made Angel feel human. Could any of them say for sure that that wouldn't have happened?? Jerks. And I HATED Justine. Oooh and don't get me started on that Wolfram & Hart sl*t... Eve, was it? Hated her from day one. Must have got her from the same dumpster in the alley at the back of a condemned porn shop as where they got Kennedy Okay, dispite all this negative ranting, I actually DO like the show! It's just been a while since I've watched the eps I like and the ones I hate have left such a strong impression Ugh, Jasmine... for instance... UGH! What in the hell was that about!? I love Angel but didn't get to see the final 2 seasons until the DVD's got cheaper. And I found that I really did like all 5 seasons because each one has it's charms. Season 1 - The introduction to what would become the core big bad through the entire series. It gave us the backbone to a spin off that could have easily been axed from the start. We were given a brilliant character in Doyle and it set up Cordelia's change into a better person nicely. It also managed to give a darker version of Faith's character and that blew me away. I loved the season 1 finale because it gave one hell of a cliffhanger. Season 2 - For a second year, this did the business. Cordelia was finally the better person, while Angel took a downward spiral until he became a souled version of Angelus. The introduction of Darla and the Angel/Darla/Lindsey love triangle was so... inspiring. The episode where Lindsey left is my favourite, partly because Christian Kane got to flex those vocal cords. I also really enjoyed the last 4 episodes, because they were different and gave you insight to Lorne. Oh and Lorne rocked! Season 3 - Season 2 was a hard act to follow but I feel they did it well. It gave new thought when it came to Darla & Angel, and it left me in tears when Darla finally became a real human being. The introduction of Fred was beautifully done, but the whole Wes/Fred/Gunn thing was a bit too soapy. I was never an Angel/Cordy fan either, so the shipping side has never been a favourite with me. I feel the big bad of the season was very cool and I enjoyed Justine, mainly because I love the actress in The L Word. Bringing Adult!Connor in was good but I do feel that they could have gotten a better actor. The season finale was a good one. Season 4 - Most people hated this season, because of Connor and the character assassination of Cordy. I enjoyed this season because I enjoyed the take over of Cordelia, the Faith/Angel angle, the Wolfram & Hart massacre and the return of Angelus, who I adored very much. I also enjoyed the glimpse of Dark Willow and her flirting with Fred. Season 5 - I went in thinking I would not like and came out cursing the network for not renewing the show. I loved the Angel/Spike moments, including the nod to hardcore Spangel fans (Spike's comment about their one time together), I loved Puppet!Angel, I loved the return of Lindsey. And, a complete shocker here, I enjoyed the Wes/Fred relationship. I also really loved the way Angel finished, because it was realistic (well, as realistic as it can be). But my favourite part of Season 5? Illyria. She was completely different to Fred and Amy Acker seriously rocked. I would have killed to see a Illyria spinoff, with Spike. I want hair like Illyria. I loved Doyle I was so upset when he died in the show, then to here he died in real life! R.I.P. I loved the episode when Buffy come's to LA and he becomes human for the day! And also i hate the season finale in season 5, leaving the show with that huge cliffhanger I didn't like anything about season 5, Apart from Spike being in it! I think Buffy is better than Angel! I think it was because it's the original. IMO I have both boxset's I love sitting in front of the TV with the popcorn and randomly picking episode to sit and watch!
