bay girl Posted July 23, 2010 Report Share Posted July 23, 2010 My little brother was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and when he was in the hospital, we had a very interesting chat with his specialist one day. His doctor asked him what he wanted to be when he was older, and my little brother said he wanted to be a writer. Anyhoo, the doctor says to him, "oh, a friend of mine is a writer. Have you read the Harry Potter books?" And my kid brother is like "yeah, they're my fav". The doctor then went on to explain that years ago when he lived in the UK and he was studying to become a doctor, a woman who was in some of his classes and also became a good friend was .......... J.K.Rowling. He even told us about another woman who was in their class and her name was Hermoine, and thats where J.K got the name from. It was very cool and so great to hear. Jen Posted November 16, 2010 Report Share Posted November 16, 2010 I was torn between posting this here or in the Glee thread, but DARREN (freakin') CRISS was at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere in NYC. He is so legit right now. I need video, because I missed it but people are quoting him all over tumblr about how he's a fanboy and he's wearing a Gryffindor tie and really wants to meet Daniel Radcliffe. I've also seen caps of him next to Rupert in the press line. I can't even deal. *bounces with excitement* I guess, while I'm here, I should probably ask; What are you most looking forward to seeing in the movie? And particular part of the books? As I just said, I agree with everything Jen said, including the bit I'm looking forward to most. Malfoy manor was probably my favourite chapter, and I can't wait to see it. Especially Rupert Speaking of, I'm looking forward to all the Ron/Hermione-ness. Drew Posted November 22, 2010 Report Share Posted November 22, 2010 I've always loved the relationship between Ron and Hermione, I just wished in the earlier stories there was ALOT more of it because I loved their interactions in the latest film. The scene at Malfoy Manor was most likely the best, LOVED Bellatrix torturing Hermione, her screams gave me chills - the films just keep getting darker and darker I love it. And that slowmotion moment with the dagger CHILLS! hehe. Can't wait for part ll to see Ron and Hermione's big kiss and the final battle, ugh, can't wait!
