HeavenForbid Posted June 20, 2007 Report Share Posted June 20, 2007 I got my nhalf yearly school certificate results today so far im getting: English: A10 Maths: B8 Science: B8 History: A10 Geography: A9 Drama: A10 Commerce: A9 Media: A10 I'm so happy I though I was failing but I'm in the top band for all my A10 subjects and A9 is the 2nd and B8 the 3rd. Most people outside NSW will not nderstand our weird grading for these things but from highest to lowest it goes A10, A9, B8, B7, C6, C5, D4, D3, E2, E1 So I'm in the top 3 bands for everything so far but we havnt even done the actual exam yet :o They are amazing results, Sam! Will type up results and stuff. English Literacy: 49% Writing: 52% Reading: 44% Language: 35% Comment at the bottom of that page: Rose's achivement in writing meets the National Benchmark Standard for Year 8. The ELLA writing score required to meet was 21 and your childs score was 31 I'm happy for that. Maths (hate these results, I suck at maths ) Numeracy: 41% Number: 34% Measurement: 46% Space: 28% Data: 38% Numeracy problem solving: 33% *shudders* Stupid maths . Comment at the bottom of that page: Rose's achivement in numeracy meets the National Benchmark Standard for Year 8. The SNAP numeracy score required to meet was 44 and your childs score was 47 ---------------- Moving on to my better exam I did this year for computing. General skills: 95% Word processing: 45% Graphics: 80% Internet: 50% Databases: 65% Programming: 100% All together, got an average score of what a Year 10 student got, and I'm only in Year 9 -------------------- Also other random results - IST achivement for half year - 75% Food Technology - 89% ----------- Am pleased with English and Computing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was out of 40 and 20 was the pass mark and I got 34!!! I couldnt believe it but GCSE's are worse and I feel worse now than I was yesterday like Nicole said, I am going to be a wreck! I got 512/600 which is a distinction- but im so nervous for the rest. I was predicted all A*'s and A's and I feel the pressure on the youth of today is so great! Good luck everyone...
